Flags in this template[edit]

Whatever else might be said about flag icons I think this template does benefit from the them, if only because they are adjacent to abbreviations, which are in themselves fairly meaningless. This is one instance where the flag icon definitely does provide a benefit. Mo - I'm BRDing this one, and the related article, and maybe the discussion can continue here. Thanks. For the article at International Football Association Board I think we might make an exception concerning the infobox, given again that abbreviations are used. WizOfOz (talk) 21:11, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
So we will make up a new MOS for you, interesting how you came across this template. Mo ainm~Talk 21:17, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Why is it interesting? WizOfOz (talk) 21:32, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think that the use of the flags has not benefit in the article and should be removed. Bjmullan (talk) 22:46, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
What is your reasoning behind that view? WizOfOz (talk) 22:51, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
