Template is being discussed at WP:CBB

[edit]

There is a discussion about the use of this template at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject College Basketball#Request for consensus: Team stat leaders in schedule tables. I encourage any users who are knowledgeable of this template to chime in. Thanks. ~ Richmond96 TC 01:39, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Need multiple "region" and "regionname" parameters

[edit]

The template needs to have at least three "region" and "regionname" parameters. Teams that make the Final Four of either the NCAA D-I men's or women's tournament will play teams from two of the tournament's four regions, while teams that make it to the championship game will play teams from three regions. I don't have the expertise to add it myself, and I certainly don't want to break the existing template. — Dale Arnett (talk) 08:11, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Per a request made seven years ago (that I agreed with), I have added functionality for up to five region names to be listed. Changes have been made in the sandbox and tested. fuzzy510 (talk) 04:07, 27 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Seeding parameter

[edit]

At a GAN for a team that played in the first NCAA tournament, the reviewer had a good point about the presence of the tournament seedings note here. The team in question was not seeded, since seeds were not used in the NCAA Tournament until the late 1970s. In other words, the note is meaningless for teams that played when the tournament did not have seeds, and having it in place might be confusing. I'm thinking that there should be a seed parameter in the template that would work like the rank parameter, meaning that when "no" is entered, the seedings note would not appear. Can someone who has the ability to format templates consider adding such an option? Giants2008 (Talk) 02:17, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The part of the code {{smalldiv|*Non-conference game... renders as a bulleted list. Per usage, asterisk symbol (*) denotes the non-conference games and this template must be updated to show the said symbol instead. Minor update is implemented in /sandbox (diff). – McVahl (talk) 06:57, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Added a break before region tags to prevent the end template from stretching for too long if there are multiple regions. Changes were made in the sandbox and tested. fuzzy510 (talk) 17:37, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Fuzzy510: are you sure that all the changes in the sandbox are your changes? In other words, did you sync the live template to the sandbox before making your desired edits? P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 20:31, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sure didn't! Let me re-check. fuzzy510 (talk) 20:52, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Synced the template, then remade both my edits and the edits you made to the sandbox. fuzzy510 (talk) 21:01, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent! and  edited. Thank you very much! P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 22:06, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank YOU! fuzzy510 (talk) 22:07, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
