Add template(s) for print editions?[edit]

Why? Because I bloody have the 3rd and 4th edns. in hard copy, and I only have the free access to the online 5th edn., so there's probably material in the hardcopy that I can't access online. And I'm surely not the only editor in such a situation. --Thnidu (talk) 02:43, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

I'm used to calling the dictionary "AHD", but that name is already in use for an unrelated template. The full name of the work abbreviates to "AHDEL", but that unfortunately suggests "DEL(ete)". Thus, "AHDict". --Thnidu (talk) 03:35, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

One example cites "fish" at AHDict...[edit]

... to footnote "Go fish!" However, the AHDict definition of "fish" nowhere explains "Go fish!". I realize this was only to demonstrate using the template, but why not use an example that fully works, i.e. is actually explained at the cited dictionary entry? – .Raven ^.talk 01:37, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
