Almost every Indian tribe in the US has been removed, at least to a smaller portion of their previous homeland, so probably listing all the removed tribes would be unfeasible, as would be listing all regions tribes were removed from. This template does focus on the 19th century US Federal Indian policy of "Indian Removal," so economic migrations, such as the Dust Bowl migrations during the Great Depression or Relocation policy, would not be included. Sometimes "Indian Removal" refers specifically to Eastern tribes forced into Indian Territory; however, it could also refer to all removals of Native Americas initiated by the US government in the 19th century, including the Western tribes.
