SuperWookie

[edit]

I would appreciate it if you could inform me first before deleting it. I still don't know why you are deleting it. Could you please hault the deletion so we can discuss it first? Thanks! SuperWookie 10:08, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Age Short Story Award

[edit]

I have removed your Deletion template. I saved the article - after writing just two lines to get it going - and then left it to find more info, appropriate categories, and WIki links only came back just a couple of minutes later to find the (automatic) notice. I believe that there should be at least 12 hours time delay between initial creation of an article and the slapping on it of such templates (and automatic ones should I think be designed to provide this time-lapse). I hope you agree with my action but I believe this award is worthy of documenting. Sterry2607 10:57, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I am pretty new here and knew nothing about that template. I will use it in future. As far as I can tell the award has been going for over 10 years, is associated with a major metropolitan newspaper that also runs one of Australia's major literary awards. A library site described it as one of Australia's most prestigious short story awards. OK? Sterry2607 11:20, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
