But perhaps we are rather dealing with Thracian, which we know is very close to Greek (Brixhe 2006a: 142, 2006b: 40). And the deciphering of the corpus of Zone-Samothrace reveals that Thracian was also as close to Greek as one Romance language is to another (2006a: 142).
