Sackboy is the user-controlled character in the 2008 video game, LittleBigPlanet. The character was primarily designed by Francis Pang of Media Molecule.[1]

Pang said that while he was designing Sackboy, he wasn't aware of how flexible the character would be and it only became apparent to him when he started designing the DLC costumes.[2]
Appearing as other characters via DLC - Marvel, Incredibles etc
The popularity of LittleBigPlanet and Sackboy has seen other companies sign deals with Sony to include their intellectual property in LittlBigPlanet. Companies like Disney & Marvel.

Merchandise[edit]
Sony has licence the manufacture of several Sackboy and LittleBigPlanet merchandise including t-shirts and plushies. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe offered free Sackboy plushes to the first 5000 users who subscribed to the LittleBigPlanet UK YouTube channel.
