Composition[edit]

Cove Reber's interview with Ultimate Guitar about You're Not Alone:

"I'd say that "You're Not Alone" sounds like that cheesy song on the record. That was something that I wrote like really late at night. I was really stressed out. It was feeling that sense of being alone and that's what came out."[3]

Music Video[edit]

The video begins with Cove Reber, the lead singer, getting pulled out of rubbish and dragged across the town by two police officers. While walking he notices a boy and the rest of the citizens. He is taken to a stage where Chris Sorenson, Justin Shekoski, Beau Burchell, and Alex Rodriguez are performing. Cove is forced onto the stage and begins to sing. They show a little girl sitting in a puppet show cart at the doctor's office. The doctor feeds her some type of food. The food shows no effect but the parents start to scream. The girl is taken outside on the cart by her parents. They come to a barrier and the guard opens the gate. She is led to the stage where Saosin is performing the song. During the last minutes of the video, it begins to snow and the little girl is taken into the sky along with the crowd that was viewing the performance. The last minute is the fading of the scene. This video is shown in black and white and takes place in the 1920s.[citation needed]
