"Love Me JeJe" is a song by Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer Tems, released on 25 April 2024 through RCA Records as the lead single from her forthcoming debut album Born in the Wild.[1] Produced by GuiltyBeatz and Spax, it interpolates the 1997 single "Love Me Jeje" by Seyi Sodimu and was written by Tems alongside Sodimu, the latter earning credit from the interpolation.[2][3]

Background[edit]

Love Me JeJe contains interpolation of the 1997 Nigerian hit song "Love Me Jeje" by Seyi Sodimu featuring Shafy Bello.[4][5] Tems announced the song alongside the release of her forthcoming album Born in the Wild on her debut Coachella set tagging the song as "a tribute to my country".[3][2] Speaking in a press release on Apple Music radio, Tems stated that the song arose from a freestyle section she held with friends where a friend interpolated Sodimu's "Love Me Jeje" and having loved the original song while growing decided to keep it in the official studio recording.[6]
