Wiki Interests

[edit]

I'm mostly interested in English folklore and traditions, traditional folk music of England and the Celtic regions, as well as Bon, Shinto, witchcraft, and contemporary paganism in England and the United States.

Personal Blogs

[edit]

While I maintain several blogs at sites such as Dreamwidth, InsaneJournal and elsewhere, the majority of those are private and restricted viewing. My public blog can be found at Memoranda, and I can be found on Twitter as ashareem.

Genealogy Interests

[edit]

I am an amateur genealogist and family historian, conducting research since 1967. My genealogy website can be found at Looking Backwards Sections there include genealogy, our family's participation within the Society for Creative Anachronism as House Amberwood, and our role-play gaming group, which has been together since about 1988.

Pagan and Witchcraft

[edit]

My pagan and witchcraft interests can be found at our coven website, Nemed Cuculatii, which is part of the lineage of Lady Gwen Thompson. Additionally, I am an infrequent contributor to The Witches' Almanac, and a participant on several pagan and traditional witchcraft networking sites. Since the 1980's, I have been known online as Moondancer, and beginning in the 21st Century, more often as Ash McSidhe. In the interests of disclosure for Wikipedia and related sites, I am an initiate of the Georgian, Gardnerian, New York (Buczynski) Welsh, NROOGD, StarBorn(Sothis), and NECTW Traditions. Any statements that I make regarding those Traditions of Witchcraft are based on my own knowledge and history within them, and are given as personal statements, and not as a spokesperson for any of those traditions/lineages as a whole.
