Sandy initially gained his technical knowledge as a student at the University of Michigan; namely, while working on the systems of one of the first sites connected to the NSFNET. Sandy graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in Biology. He decided to continue his studies at Georgetown University; earning a Master’s in Biophysics and Physiology.

After graduate school, Sandy was further able to enhance his skill-set by serving as the lead technician at a Michigan-based network integration firm and Internet Service Provider. In 1997, he founded Netarx, and began to consult, plan, and implement IT solutions for a multitude of organizations throughout North America. Netarx, a network integration and services organization, provided services to large enterprises; many of which were Fortune Global 500. Netarx focused on advanced technologies, including: Business Intelligence (BI), Network & Information Security[1], Virtualization, Storage Area Networks, Unified Communications, and Data Center Services.[2]

In 2011, Netarx was acquired by Logicalis, (a division of Datatec - Symbol LSE: DTC) [3]where Sandy joined as its Chief Technology Officer. Since Logicalis, Sandy continues his entrepreneurial efforts in the successful founding of Locqus[4] and Yottabyte. He also mentors a number of new start-ups,[5] has co-authored several books, and sits on various boards.

Sandy Kronenberg currently serves as a General Partner of Ludlow Ventures, a venture capital fund focusing on investments in early-stage tech companies. [6][7]
