From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WP:G13 is the CSD criteria used to delete drafts and AfC submissions that have not been edited in six months. I am an active G13 tagger and have G13 tagged some 400 drafts. There are a few things I do differently:

  • Official policy is to delete after exactly six months, and no less. Typically, the most recent edit to a G13-eligible draft is declining it as an AfC submission, instead of adding any actual content. As a result, I am typically lenient on the exactly six month limit, and I have no problem with tagging a draft a few minutes before it's eligible if the most recent edit was declining it at AfC.
  • Occasionally, I will see a draft that I actually want to develop into a article one day. In those cases, I will make a small change to the draft to "save" it from G13, though occasionally it is deleted anyway. In such cases, I use WP:REFUND/G13 to get it back. Then I'll add it to my userpage as a future project.

[edit]
  • WP:G13- the page describing the full policy on G13.
  • Twinkle- the semi-automated tool I use to G13 tag abandoned drafts.
  • The place where old drafts go to await G13 tagging.
  • WP:REFUND/G13- the place to request a G13'd draft be restored.
  • User:Squeeps10/CSD log- the place where all the drafts I nominate for G13 are automatically logged, along with everything else I CSD tag, under any criterion. Here's how to create your own, courtesy of UnitedStatesian: Go to Wikipedia:Twinkle/Preferences, scroll down to the Proposed Deletion (PROD) section, Check the box next to "Keep a log of all pages you tag for PROD", scroll down to the Speedy deletions (CSD) section, check the box next to "Keep a log in userspace of all my CSD nominations", scroll to the bottom, click on the "Save Changes" button, and you're all set.
