Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. The tools are can be fully integrated into existing Office installations.
Background
[edit]Originally called Smart Tools, it was founded by Sune Høj Kodahl, Kristian Johansen and Søren Olofsson in 2015[3]. The project started when Sune and Kristian met each other while working as management consultants at Bain & Co.[4] Here they created thousands of slides and Excel models using Bains proprietary tools for Microsoft Office.
After leaving Bain and consulting altogether, they lost access to the tool and therefor set out to develop their own Office add-in. Through their mutual friend Søren Olofsen, a former employee at Netcompany, they founded Smart Tools. The first 6 months they worked in a public library, however once a couple of Nordic consultancies heard about the tool, the trio invested in an office space[5]
By 2019 Smart Tools changed to Ampler and was made publicly available through Ampler.io. Doing the same time the team started to developing a chart tool to allow users to visualize data. In 2021 Ampler Charts was born.[6] In the future functionality for Outlook well be introduced.[7]
