A tag has been placed on Blue Sky (Albanian TV channel), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Zenel Hajdini a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Zenel Hajdini. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. • A TUZI, I have a couple of questions. One is, why don't you participate in the Articles for Deletion discussions on your articles? I see from a section above that in the case of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Monoir, you instead removed the AfD template from the article. Don't you have anything to say about why the topics are notable? I see that you were given only the short Welcome template; perhaps that's the problem? Here is a guide to what new pages should have to demonstrate that the topic is notable; it has many links to further information on our policies and guidelines. For example, since you have created a number of biographies, this page on the requirements for biographies may be useful. But when one of your articles is under discussion, I don't understand why you wouldn't try to comment in the discussion about why it should not be deleted? After all, you can read the sources in Albanian.
The other is, why are you creating articles with bare link references all at the bottom, instead of putting the <ref> and </ref> tags after the statement in the text that they support, to create footnotes? This makes it more difficult to see why the topic is notable, especially since you are using a mix of acceptable news references, personal publications like LinkedIn, and user-generated stuff like IMDb. I see from Barbana Dini that you are now creating articles with defaultsort and categories, but if you're going to write about living people, you need to have a reference on every statement you make as well as showing the person has been written about in many places. Perhaps the problem is that you use the mobile editing interface. It's famously bad. Have you considered switching to the desktop editing interface, which works much better even on a phone? See this essay. Yngvadottir (talk) 02:50, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Articles and AfDs

[edit]

Hi again A TUZI. I tried very hard to save the article you created on Genard Hajdini, but enough people were swayed at the deletion discussion by the viewpoint that the sources were not reliable and independent that it's now gone. If you had posted there, or used your knowledge of the language and the national media to find more sources that I couldn't find, English Wikipedia might still have an article about him, and I think that would have been a better outcome. Instead, you again broke the rules and didn't help the article's chances in any way by removing the AfD template. You have posted to other editors' talk pages, so you must be aware this talk page exists. Perhaps you can only read what is posted here with difficulty? In any case, I think you should stop creating articles on the English Wikipedia if you are unable or unwilling to defend them when they are nominated for deletion, or to respond to other concerns raised here such as the image copyright one above. It's a shame; I believe English Wikipedia should also have articles on notable Albanian topics, and that they shouldn't only have articles on the Albanian Wikipedia. But your lack of participation in the AfD wasted my time improving the article and that of the other editors who participated at the AfD, and potentially created a bad precedent for future articles on people covered by the same kinds of news sources. A tag has been placed on Genard Hajdini requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Genard Hajdini. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Popularity & notability

Maybe you think that being a "popular person" should be part of Wikipedia's notability guidelines, but at present it isn't. JBW (talk) 16:28, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Klea Huta moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Klea Huta, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
