Hi

[edit]

Nice to see you in here too. I've replied your comment in Talk:Ha (Javanese). I'm thinking probably we should make a Javanese script userbox here :D Bennylin (talk) 13:58, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Alteaven (talk) 11:40, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Batik

[edit]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Batik you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Chiswick Chap -- Chiswick Chap (talk) 07:30, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I've copy-edited and checked the article, and it's almost ready for GA. I have ticked the majority of the criteria in the review. The main outstanding issue is that several paragraphs remain uncited; I have marked these individually in the article. Please add citations for these, or remove unverifiable text. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 13:04, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

We made it - congratulations. I hope you'll get to work on ikat which certainly needs it; and there's plenty of scope for articles on subjects like kain panjang and indeed subtopics of batik to go into more detail on batik kraton and so on. Then you could make your own navbox just for batik! All the best, and well done. Chiswick Chap (talk) 14:40, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. If you haven't seen the book by Gillow and Dawson do look it up, or better buy it, it's well worth it. Chiswick Chap (talk) 14:40, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well done

Javanese language Transliteration

[edit]

Hi, Alteaven

Thanks for asking, and I'm sorry because I'm a newbie so I din't know how to start this conversation , and yes, maybe å is quite uncommon for ordinary peoples, but I should tell you that in Javanese language pages, there is many "wrong" word in transliteration, for example:

First, In "number" section, I've noticed that there is: 20 = rong puluh - kalih doso, the editors use doso instead of dasa/dåså. The word doso is absolutely wrong/false, because the right/true one is dasa(read: dåså)

Second, the word Kromo and Madyo, it's also wrong, because the word should written in Kråmå(Krama) and Madyå(Madya).

Third, Javanese language recognized vocal "a, å, â, i, ì, u, ù, é, è, ê, o, and ò" in order to avoid mispelling/pronouncing, so I decided to use "å", for example, in Javanese there is a word "lara" that pronounced "lårå", but most people that always written "loro" instead of "lara"/"lårå", "lårå" means "illness", and "loro" means "two". so, å and o is different think in Javanese.

Sorry for bad English, I'm Javanese speaker.--Mufidkce (talk) 10:20, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Oh begitu ya? Begini:
Matur Sembah Nuwun atas saran, jawaban, dan penjelasannya :)––Mufidkce (talk) 13:14, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

sekian dan terima kasih :)--Mufidkce (talk) 23:55, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Islamic calligraphy, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Mamluk dynasty, Naskh and Ottoman (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Re: Javanese script

[edit]

It's a little better. I'd recommend putting the article up for peer review, though. Aesthetics don't matter that much for GA; my main issue was sourcing. Tezero (talk) 18:21, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:07, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
