May 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Theories of Pashtun origin without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. June 2016[edit]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Dynamo (magician). Thank you.--Michig (talk) 19:39, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dynamo[edit]

Hi. I have reverted again your change to the Dynamo article. Could you please explain on the talk page why you believe that the source you are using is more accurate than the existing one, where Frayne himself states what his father was. Thank you. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 16:45, 26 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply. You say that;
  • "the reference that was posted in wiki about dynamo father earlier was controversial". Who says it is controversial?
  • "the one that i provided was more accurate" - Who says it is more accurate?
  • "was taken on a personal interview with him" - It is written as part of an article about him. It is not part of the actual interview. The current cite is actually his own words, said by him. Why should the article describing him be more accurate than what he says himself, about himself and his father?
Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 10:01, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I'm sorry, but claiming to be related to him is not sufficient to justify changes that negate what he has already publicly said. The reader of Wikipedia cannot verify that you (or your father) are who you say you are. You are, just like me, just another anonymous person on the internet. This is why Wikipedia cannot accept facts in this way. If you do know him personally, and what he has previously said needs to be corrected, then your best course of action is to get him to publicly correct it in another interview. That then can be used as a new source for this fact. Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 13:31, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
