No original research

[edit]

One of Wikipedia's hard policies is WP:No original research. I can see that your contributions at Pío Pico and Talk:Alps have skirted this policy, as have your changes to the San Pedro article. Wikipedia should not be used to publish your theories. Binksternet (talk) 18:35, 21 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Per someone's comment, I don't have any "original research" ?.....I do not know where you are located, but ANYONE who either is a native Southern Californian, or has lived in Los Angeles for any length of time, quickly learns of the Spanish history of this region, and of Pio Pico, who was one of California's first politicians after California became a state. There is a LOT of published history about Pico, and it would be hard NOT to know about him, and that that history is factual. Gail Noon, San Pedro, CA, 07/03/2015 (I'm a native Los Angeleno, and have lived here most of my life)
You wrote that the word "mulatto" means someone with African and French parentage, but the word actually means someone with African and European heritage, not specifically French. I removed that bit from the Pío Pico article because it was wrong, and it was irrelevant anyway because Pío Pico had no known French heritage. His European ancestry was Spanish. Recent edit to Steven Spielberg

[edit]

Hello, and thank you for your contribution to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to the Steven Spielberg article. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. Thank you!
