Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Boegli, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was User:Boegli/sandbox/Boegli main ‎, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

Thank you. Nick Moyes (talk) 23:17, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Yesterday the account "Boegli" was blocked.

We didn't quite understand why this affected our account. Please explain in more detail. Boegli is a company with a good name and all the documents. There are also several articles about us on the Internet and we are constantly developing. To create the page and not make mistakes, we analyzed other pages on the luxury watch companies Wikipedia. Our brand is called Boegli and cannot be called otherwise. If there are mistakes that can be corrected and our name kept, then we will correct and implement everything. Thank you!

Boegli (talk) 08:03, 19 April 2021 (UTC) Boegli[reply]

Account names on English Wikipedia cannot be named after companies or organizations. This is a violation of the username policy, and is non-negotiable. The only exception to this rule is if it is part of a name that denotes and individual (for example, "Karl at Boegli"), and you guarantee that this account is accessed by only that person.
Wikipedia accounts can be used by only one person - the same person - for the account's entire lifetime. It is forbidden to share access to an account; evidence of shared use can also result in a block.
Not only is it an inherent conflict of interest to write about your own company, but you are also required to make a mandatory declaration as a paid editor. In addition, we don't have much interest in what a company's representatives wish to say about it. Company representatives have an inherent bias and find it hard to write from the required neutral point of view.
You must show evidence of significant coverage from multiple reliable, third-party sources have chosen on their own to publish about this company. Lack of sufficient quantity and quality of coverage means this company won't be considered notable enough for inclusion.
If you believe that your company is notable enough for inclusion, and can demonstrate enough independent coverage to show that it's notable enough for inclusion, then follow the unblock request instructions above with a proposed new username. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:53, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock

I'll rename, but this is a shared account, and I'll leave unblocking for others. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 09:27, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Jelkulv90/sandbox, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --Jelkulv (talk) 12:10, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dear sirs, Im very surprised to get this message from Wiki System. I did my best and learned all the rules and I studied everything very attentively. And still you say that some rules are not followed.

I don't want to make an advertisement, I want to tell about Brand History, this is the workshop that creates unique pocket watches in Swiss. How can I do that, so that Wikipedia will allow me to publish this Article? I tried to write the whole text in my own words, without braking any copyright rules.

In Wiki there are many pages like Omega SA watches and so on. All I want to do, is to publish the same story about Boegli Watches.

Please be so kind and do not delete this Article, since I have spent already huge amount of time to learn your rules. And in case I sill don't follow some of them, please mention what exactly should I fix or remove, to make it work?

Thank you so much, and Im really looking forward to get some help from Wiki community and authors. Im a newbie here and I don't have experience of preparing such Articles.

Elena.
