AfD for deaths due to COVID-19 and related RfC[edit]

Hi. Thanks for commenting at the recent AfD for the above list. There is now an ongoing discussion around the best way to split the list, if any, if you wish to comment further. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:36, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop vandalising Wikipedia![edit]

The guy ran multiple Twitter deceptive stunts, targetting famous people and you keep removing this information.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Winele8 (talkcontribs)

Twitter drama is almost never encyclopedia-worthy, I'm sorry. Brycehughes (talk) 14:12, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's been properly sourced, so stop removing the truth.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Winele8 (talkcontribs)

Your help desk question[edit]

Did you ever find an answer to this question? I wouldn't know how but I just now saw the question.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 19:20, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Vchimpanzee: I can't remember to be honest, but it looks like I ended up with "average monthly temperature". Brycehughes (talk) 19:38, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's unlikely anyone will wonder. I mark "resolved" when I can find evidence, but it's not certain in this case.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 15:18, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello u help Wikipedia so thanks Joy Mathengwane (talk) 15:33, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@DoubleGrazing: You're welcome. I just read about it in the news... I hadn't heard of it before. Interesting article. Brycehughes (talk) 19:42, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to William Pickard Page[edit]

Thanks for your message. I made edits to the William Pickard page because it contained inaccurate information. The sentence in question claimed that William Pickard was released from prison on the basis of his writings on opioids and his published book. The court order cited as evidence for that claim clearly states that he was not released for these reasons -- the only reason the court gives for granting him the release was his advanced age and the danger that poses in light of the COVID pandemic.

Yep, you're all good. The reason I reverted initially is because there was no edit summary and it appeared you were removing sourced information. (It's usually a good idea to provide an edit summary, like you did the second time around.) Thanks for the fix! Brycehughes (talk) 18:36, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Chad at FAR[edit]

Hi Brycehughes, just thought I'd let you know that Chad is at FAR now, if you're interested in taking a crack at it. Best, CMD (talk) 03:19, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Chipmunkdavis, if I had the time, oh if I had the time. Ironically I think this is the busiest year of my life. I haven't been putting in much work around here recently. But if any specific questions come up – for example, if perhaps a source from Tibesti might be useful and you'd like copy – I'll do my best. Hope you are well. Aerosucre[edit]

Removing sp=us (or adding it) DOES NOT change the style of English because abbr obviates the need, because they are the same in all styles. I undid your superfluous changes. 2603:8080:B200:5CDE:F0DB:A316:6053:E082 (talk) 20:43, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Right, but then if someone comes along and un-abbreviates because they decide that style is better, then the template will revert to British English, so your change is not helpful. Please take this to the Aerosucre talk page if you want to continue discussing. Thanks, Brycehughes (talk) 20:47, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ship lift of Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
