Welcome!

A few requests:

  • If you are editing a section, please try to get all of the edits to that section in place in one go. Short of fixing typos, there should be no need to edit the same scentence two or more time in rapid succession. Having a long list of minimal edits makes it hard, if not immposible, for other editors to look at what you are doing to see if you are improving the article or not. It can also be looked at as a type of disruptive editing.
  • If you are going to do a major work through on an article, you may want to consider working on it in a sandbox off of your user page. This will give you the lattitude to fine tune things if you need to edit in a "type-save-re-type-save-type again" method of editing without being disruptive to other editors.
  • Please use edit summaries to let other editors know why you are making a change.
  • Lastly, a concern has been raised that you may be editing the articles through a registered account and an IP address account. If you are, please try to remember to always log in to edit. Given the nature of the edits and the timing, it can be seen as an attempt to hide or give a false sense of consensus about the contentious edits.

Please be aware that disruptive editing and/or un explained overriding of other editors' work on an article can result in you being BLOCK|blocked from editing for a time.

Hawkeye

[edit]

Just wanted to come and share my appreciation for your work at Hawkeye (comics). I see you are a relatively new editor but the fact that you take template messages seriously and work to improve articles in need speaks very well for you. I would just remind you to keep details for non-free content to a minimum. You also showed great willingness to work with others with your compromise at Template:Hawkeye. Keep up the good work and without further a due I reward you the:

The Comics Star
For your diligent work on Hawkeye related articles and your willingness to work with other editors.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 19:31, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:27211-3859-30188-1-solo-avengers super.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:09, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article World Counter-terrorism Agency has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
