Pashto IPA transcription
[edit]Hello. I noticed that you added the IPA transcription to some articles with Pashto names, so I was wondering if you could do the same for the following articles of provinces and cities in Afghanistan: Farah, Lashkargah, Asadabad, Laghman, Puli Alam, Maidan Wardak, Maidan Shar, Zaranj, Parun, Gardez, Sharana, Tarinkot and Qalati Ghilji. The reason behind my request is that I'm uncertain about the pronunciation of the letter "a" in each name, specifically whether it should be pronounced as /a/ or /ə/. Thank you in advance. Jakemtr (talk) 00:03, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
- Greetings, @Jakemtr. Unfortunately, Pashto pronunciation varies greatly by region, and I am not familiar enough with all the local dialects to be able to transcribe IPA for all of these. However, Parun certainly contains neither /a/ nor /ə/, and thus I was able to enter pronunciations for it. I would suggest contacting a native speak of Pashto for the remainder. Disambiguation link notification for June 1
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2023 Afghanistan–Iran clash, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page AP. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Transliterations in Fuzuli (poet)
[edit]Hey, Samiollah. Great work on your historically accurate transliterations on many articles on my watchlist. I’m currently working on the Fuzuli (poet) article and using various transliteration systems for different work names, which is inconsistent. Could you help me transliterate them using a single system in their respective languages? The works are all listed within {{transl}} or {{lang}} templates and are easy to find in their respective language sections. — Golden call me maybe? 08:25, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hello @Golden,
- Yes, I can help you with that.
- I have written some transliterations, all consistently following the ALA-LC transliteration schemes for their language, and will email them to you momentarily. Samiollah1357 (talk) 11:58, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
