There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:39, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

Digital Empowerment Foundation is the name of a Delhi-based NGO. You can view its website at www.definfia.org. We are not using the Wikipedia platform for any promotional activity but only to list what our organisation does. For example, you can take a look at the pages of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Loden Foundation or Goonj.

Decline reason:

This is still a violation of the username policy. And it does not address the edits you have made that do appear to be promotional. SQLQuery me! 04:42, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I would like to delete all existing content and repost it on Wikipedia while following the guidelines. I will ensure there is no promotional content on the Wikipedia page.

Decline reason:

You have already requested that username once and had it rejected, and you have simply removed the rejection and requested the same name again. You are not allowed to remove declined unblock requests while still unblocked, so I have reinstated it for you, above.

You also do not appear to have read the original block message before removing it, so I have reinstated that too. Please read both the block message and the unblock rejection, and be sure to address the directions given in both if you make a further unblock request.

Also, in your previous request you write of "We", which implies use of the account by multiple people. That is not allowed, as a Wikipedia account can only be used by an individual person to help us build our encyclopedia. Please be sure to address that too if you request unblock again.

Finally, you have no existing content to delete, as it is already deleted.

I understand your guidelines reagrding promotional content and username. I would like to change my username to my individual name and ensure that I only post non-promotional content. I alone will make any edits, if required henceforth. I will not promote the organisation or its work in any manner.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Digital Empowerment Foundation, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:38, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, ShaifaliC. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Digital Empowerment Foundation".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 08:03, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
