euphemist?

As I saw that you used the term "boylover" in the List of self-identified pederasts and pedophiles, do you not think that it is euphemist? In how far do you think is it helpful to link to pedophiles' sites? Get-back-world-respect 00:55, 8 Jul 2004 (UTC)

I was not the source of those adjectives, I only re-named the page to make a distinction in an effort to strive for greater acuracy. As for the balance between using euphemisms and pejoratives, I am in favor of neither. I simply assume that the original authors (of "List of self-identified pedophiles") had valid reasons for making those distinctions. --Haiduc 01:55, 8 Jul 2004 (UTC)

While "pedophile" is a scientific term, "boylover" is a euphemist label some pedophiles use to defend child abuses. I still cannot see why we need a page that mainly links to pedophiles' websites. Get-back-world-respect 02:08, 8 Jul 2004 (UTC)

I am not qualified to get into a semantic debate colored by political opinion. I did not see a particular need for the article either, but did not want to condone its inaccuracies. Since I am a newcomer to this project I am reluctant to delete in such cases, and restrict myself to making corrections.
