Semi-protection of Stephen Hawking

[edit]

Would you mind please explaining why you have semi-protected the article? As far as I can see there has been no significant vandalism for several months thus semi-protection is imho not justified. BTW please use edit summaries. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 15:42, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ryo Segawa, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages NEXT and Walkers (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Really sorry for the inconvenience. I wasn't actually that sensitive about that. Human beings make mistakes, a human can never be perfect. My apologies! I've just removed the links. Thank you.

A tag has been placed on File:Anime Cover ITeachThem.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. GSK 17:04, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I agree to the deletion because I don't want any arguments or anything of that sort. Thank you! — ITeachThem (talk) 17:28, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Attribution

[edit]

Please don't directly steal my user page style and layout. I've spent more hours than you can possibly imagine working on it. Please use a style and layout of your own.

Alternatively, if you choose to keep it (but modify it so it's not a complete copy), I ask that you give me credit for it in accordance with the Copying Within Wikipedia policy at WP:CWW. Because my user page's style and layout is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License, as is everything else on Wikipedia, you are required to credit me for the design (until such a time comes when you significantly modify it so it is not a blatant rip off of my work).

If you do not credit me within a reasonable amount of time, I will add the attribution myself.

You are not going to earn any allies on the encyclopedia if you do not follow policy, and especially if you outright copy others' content without attribution. GSK 12:15, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You can use the template syntax below on your user page (place it at the bottom) to credit me. GSK 12:24, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
{{User:GSK/attr}}
As your user page's style and layout is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License, which is free for anyone to copy, share etc., I have used it to my user page. I didn't, in fact, think that you'd mind copying it. All right, I think I ought to credit you for that because you are the one to work for hours to make those designs. As a result, I've placed {{User:GSK/attr}} template on my user page. Thank you! — ITeachThem (talk) 12:45, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I love how you spun that around to make it seem like it was your idea to credit me, but alright. Normally I don't mind, but when someone copies my content without crediting me, then I have a problem. Thank you for following through. GSK 12:46, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It is not necessary and somewhat disrespectful to continue to copy my page letter for letter as seen here and here. You should want to be independent with your own design, not rely on someone else's. Maybe you can see it from my point of view. GSK 18:46, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I guess I'm really curious if you're going to just keep copying everything I design for my user page to use on your user page. GSK 06:30, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well you know, I really like your designs. And don't worry I'll make some changes, but to do that I need time – lots of time. As a matter of fact, I'm really busy these days, and which is why I don't have plenty of time to make my own creative designs. What's more, I can't leave my user page in a state of mess, and then I saw your user page which really obsessed me. I think I'll make my own designs later when I'll get free. I've even credited you this time. Thank you for your curiosity! — ITeachThem (talk) 16:09, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Template:ChouSeiShin Series/doc, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do.

—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 20:58, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well it was a long time ago I actually created the documentation page of the template. Perhaps I had short or no time to add anything to that documentation page, but I did not intend to create the page with, in fact, no meaningful content. I tried to delete the page, but I soon founded out that only administrators can delete a page. But then the speedy deletion tag comes in the way. I don't actually remember what the content in the page was and why I did not put the speedy deletion tag on the page.
As you asked, 'if this was my first page ever created', and if you thought so, then you are certainly wrong, because I have started a total of maybe 4 or 5 articles earlier which fortunately didn't turn out to be nominated for deletion. Anyway, I think I've replied to your message after a couple of days due to my inapperances to Wikipedia so often. Thank you. And I hope you comprehended the fact very tactfully. ITeachThem (talk) 16:56, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This was a basic message sent in regards to the creation of this template. Also, your creation of the template and constant terminology of "ChouSeiShin" or "JustiRisers" (with CamelCase) does not match Wikipedia's formatting on these pages and had to be fixed.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 17:04, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
