Terdiman Comments
[edit]Wikipedia guidelines specifically suggest that the subject be notable only, not important. If people are discusssing someone, then it makes sense to offer further information from reliable sources, presented from a neutral standpoint, or offering a balance of opinions where diverse views exist. Without the physical limitations of a printed format, Wikipedia can be a bit more liberal in determining the importance of its content.
Clearly there will be different views on this subject. I tend to lean toward greater inclusion with high standards for neutrality and verifiability.

You won't get any argument from me; I believe that was the point of my comment in the Terdiman article. He may never win a Pulitzer prize -- but if he does, having a reasonably verifiable record of his history is better than having to track it down.
