Waterfalls[edit]

Category:International waterfalls is for falls which are within more than one country - are Davis Falls and Hyatung Falls on Nepal's borders? You don't say so, so I have removed the category. (Can you add coordinates to those pages, please?)

I see that you ask us to leave comments on your Nepal Wiki talk page, but I can't do that - when I try to type it comes out in Nepali characters, and I cannot read the tabs on the edit page etc. If you are working on English Wikipedia I think you need to communicate on an English Wikipedia talk page. Disruptive editing[edit]

Hallo, in this edit you destroyed an existing disambiguation page to create an unsourced page about a basket. I have moved your stub to Doko (basket) and re-created the disambiguation page at Doko, without which there was no route to Doko, Guinea or the two languages. Please do not destroy the encyclopedia's navigational pages in this way. If you believe that the basket is the Primary Topic for the word, feel free to make a formal Move Request. PamD 09:22, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not destroying the article, you are destroying Original name of our Doko.As I know, for the disambiguation like this: Pagename (disambiguation) (ex: Doko (disambiguation)). If you still thinking I am destroying the article then you make Wikipedia on your own way I won't write anything there.-Nirmal Dulal (talk) 16:46, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Nirmal Dulal.
Wikipedia is a pretty complicated place. We actually have two styles of Wikipedia:Disambiguation pages. One kind uses the long name, like you're used to: Doko (disambiguation). The other uses the short name: Doko. In this case, both of those links take you to the same page.
Ideally, we'll know what most readers are looking for, and then that "primary topic" is put at the short name, because people who search for the short name are almost certainly looking for the primary topic. For example, Obama takes you to the article about the current US president, and the other things that have the same name are listed at Obama (disambiguation).
But when different readers are looking for different things—if some want a city, and some want a basket, and others want a language—then we put the disambiguation list at the short name. It looks like people have decided to use this second system for Doko. WhatamIdoing (talk) 18:04, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You could have created a new disambiguation page at Doko (disambiguation), and over-written the existing one with your article on the basket, and no-one would probably have objected. (Althought articles should not usually be moved by "copy and paste", disambiguation pages have no copyright or attribution problems, and can be treated like this). But you did not do this: you destroyed the existing disambiguation page, without making a replacement, and left the encyclopedia in a state where there was no link from the word "Doko" to the town in Guinea of that name. Your user page states that you are a Sysop on Nepal Wikipedia, so I would expect you to understand the importance of the encyclopedia's navigational pages. PamD 18:40, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nepali waterfalls[edit]

Hi, I was wondering if Hyatung Falls (which you created) is actually the same waterefall as Hyatrung Waterfall?
You may also be able to help get through to the editor there Mahendra Niraula (talk · contribs) who is creating a series of almost incomprehensible, and poorly sourced pages. Many editors have tried to help them, it doesn't seem to work. 220 of Borg 11:38, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there, they both are same but Real name is Hyatung, so please remove the wrong one.- Nirmal Dulal (talk) 15:43, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No, I will not 'remove it'. Do you have a source that says that 'Hyatung' is correct? That would be helpful. We generally do not do such things without some discussion, if I were to re-direct 'Hyatrung Waterfall' to 'Hyatung Falls', for example without notification, at the very least it's a bit rude towards the editors who have worked on Hyatrung Waterfall. I have proposed a wp:merge to Hyatung Falls instead. 220 of Borg 03:56, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Here Nepal Tourism Board (which is a authorized sector of Nepal) had written "Hyatung" (in Nepali "ह्यातुङ").- Nirmal Dulal (talk) 01:51, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

April 2015[edit]

The templated version of the above message:

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Kavrepalanchowk District a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. Linking to Nepalese page[edit]

exclamation mark  Following on from the suggestion to use edit summaries, can you please tell me why you are linking to the Nepalese version of in Hyatung Falls in the lead? There is already a link to that page on the left of the age (directly under "Languages"), and I had removed that unnecessary link myself only 5 hour earlier, with an edit summary saying why. 220 of Borg 07:34, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A request about Hyatrung Waterfall, Nepal[edit]

Hi,Normal jee I think it's better to work with a lots supports and suggestions to get to a perfect satisfaction so,here what i have asked for help with you is that you also have created a same page containing hyatrung waterfall but have misspelled it as compared to original spelling and have just written Hyatung Falls so, you meaned hyatrung waterfall has more falls than itself or on what basis you created this page please? Me as a local residents to its boarder have more information about it so far and have tried to bring it into the Wikipedia but your same titled article has made it as a paradox and next one is you have ordered to remove my article to editor 220 of.....who had asked you whether the Davis fall and hyatrung water fall are on boarders of Nepal. The pure name of it in the initiative stages was hyatlung not hyatung and later, it has been converted into Hyatrung from hyatlung. Please be sure that this fact is i found by local expert old guy. Let's develop more it by helping you and me but not including paradoxical object. It's been nominated for proposal of deletion so, you and me strongly need to be bold to overcome the nomination soon. Thanks.Mahendra Niraula (talk) 17:56, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Mahendra ji, I don't know what is the localy name of Hyatung fall but Official website of Nepal Tourism Board (which is a authorized sector of Nepal) written "Hyatung". So be confirm that which one is correct. we need a strong references for the name and if you are "a local residents", could you please put picture of it and mention the geographical coordinate and name of river in the page. -Nirmal Dulal (talk) 01:40, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Nirmal Dulal: :Namaste Nirmal jee! Well, Iam still not cornfomed that which one between these two is true name but what i still wanna say to you that the typing in Nepali font shows that the same in the spelling as I view on so many newspaper and any such title in which it is discussed at any assembly hosted by VDC.And another matter you issued is :Geography and ordination° yap,I tried to include them all to form the article a perfect article but has yet been loading problem so,I will do it all in the future as possible as it is.And the river name is the Hyatrung or Hyatrung khola.Mahendra Niraula (talk) 06:29, 10 April 2015 (UTC) ,,[reply]

@Mahendra Niraula: I believe that the "..editor 220 of..." is referring to me,
  1. I did not say anything about 'boarders' (Note: "Borders" and "Boarders" are totally different words!)
  2. You have not given links to the pages being discussed above. I have added them.
  3. You also had incorrect capitalizations in the page names. For pages to be linked to, it is necessary to spell it exactly as it is named. Example: Hyatrung Waterfall and Hyatrung waterfall. The first one works, the second one does not work
  4. Your italics in your comment above also seemed wrong, making your comments difficult to follow, so I have tried to fix them. Look at what I did, it may be educational.
  5. I have also added some spaces after 'full stops', again for legibility and hopefully to show you how it should be written in English. That is, finish a sentence with a full stop ".", then leave a space, then start the next sentence with a Capitalised word. You often do not do this. You should also leave a space after a comma ",".
  6. You said above "Please be sure that this fact is i found by local expert old guy" which is not a wp: reliable source. Your opinion ("Me as a local residents... "), my opinion, and the opinion of an "expert old guy" mean nothing! What counts is a reliable source.
  7. Please see wp:CANVASSING, I'm not sure if it applies here, but discussions of this sort should best be carried out on the talk pages of the articles being discussed for merging. Saying "... you and me strongly need to be bold to overcome the nomination soon" as you did above for instance, may get you into trouble.
• Apologies to Nirmal Dulal for using their talkpage to give some writing/grammar instruction to Mahendra! 220 of Borg 03:23, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@220 of Borg: : It's OK editor 220 of... you have asked to me to show just the reliable sources whether (hyatung) or ( hyatrung) is correct form or name. And thank you so much for your valuable instructions and hope they might work to me to use properly the English language. Let's not move to such long discussion to identify if the name is correct or not rather go to the ways to improve it more so that the article may soon release as a permanent article. 1.I am indeed so much sorry for using the talk page of editor Mr.Normal Dulal.Mahendra Niraula (talk) 06:29, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@220 of Borg:: No problem. and @Mahendra Niraula:: first tried to write my name correctly. You says "Iam still not cornfomed that which one between these two is true name", then how could you says "Hyatrung" is correct? - Nirmal Dulal (talk) 11:52, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 11:25, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Nirmal Dulal. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of Natural Heritage in Janakpur Zone".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Hello Nirmal Dulal. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Chiso Ashtray, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Nirmal Dulal. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Nirmal Dulal|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. DIVINE (talk) 12:54, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a personal ego because of this one.-- Nirmal Dulal (talk) 13:06, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
While you're here with the movie crew [1], please disclose your paid editing and COI, which you have listed on your Facebook page. Additionally, COI and paid editing notifications are not egotistical. I've been volunteering and putting up with this act for a very long time. DIVINE (talk) 13:15, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I was there to take pictures of the nepali celebrities (ie:Rajesh Hamal, Nischal Basnet, Shristi Shrestha) for wikipedia articles (anyone can check my upload and contribution), and I already uploaded those pictures in wiki Commons for free for Wikipedia article, I am also volunteering Wikipedia since 2010.-- Nirmal Dulal (talk) 13:30, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So while you were at the movie premier, you took pictures, and on the same date you created this movie article on Wikipedia against Wikipedia policy and guidelines[2] which directly indicate that you violated the gudielines and added the pictures too (which you're free to contribute to commons), and clicked pictures with celebs (which shows you were there and might have been influenced to create the article) which directly indicate towards COI. So, follow [3] DIVINE (talk) 13:35, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think there is COI. But you are trying to do something wrong to me because of the discussion here where I nominate to delete page प्रकाश न्यौपाने, which is already deleted in enwiki. Nirmal Dulal (talk) 14:44, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You're free to start the discussion per Wikipedia community guidelines, and you can do whatever you want to do with the article over there. Those are not of my concern and don't concern me. Just before you claimed, you went to click on a photo of the celebrity, which shows that you're connected to multiple COI here and have violated Wikipedia community guidelines and have not disclosed anything before of the subjects which we are discussing right now, and you have clearly posted multiple pictures with the movie team too. Pinging Deb to check or verify. DIVINE (talk) 17:22, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And I'm kind of amazed to see that the post has been deleted from your Facebook timeline, but I have saved it as a screenshot for reference, which shows that you're clearly connected and still deny following the community guidelines. DIVINE (talk) 17:35, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
and I am also amazed the post is still there but I blocked one person on that post. -- Nirmal Dulal (talk) 17:40, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay any administrator from enwiki can check my contribution and upload and take right decision. --Nirmal Dulal (talk) 17:37, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Instead of making fun of community guidelines and making your post private, blocking one or thousand people or or making public or again before making private. I've recorded this video with the following link for the reference for additional supporting evidence.[4] DIVINE (talk) 18:00, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
According to your thought, when I am a Nepali citizen and I live here, writing articles related to Nepal in Wikipedia in proper way is also comes under COI.-- Nirmal Dulal (talk) 18:12, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That is clearly not what DIVINE is trying to say. However, you must declare your interest in any article where you have a relationship with the subject, either a personal relationship or a business relationship. If you don't do this, those articles will be deleted. I'm giving you time to do this properly, in accordance with the conflict of interest guidelines for the English language Wikipedia. If it hasn't been done within the next 5 days, this matter will be going to ANI for further discussion, which could end up with restrictions being placed on your editing. In the meantime, I suggest that any new articles you want to create be first written in draft and submitted for review. Deb (talk) 09:06, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Pinging @Deb as the user has engaged into multiple COI. DIVINE (talk) 17:24, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Still I am new in wikipedia, I think this matter will be going to the ANI. Sudip Kumar Nepal (talk) 16:27, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Arjun Kumar, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Disambiguation link notification for March 11[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Buff-barred warbler, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lalitpur. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
