Gun control[edit]

Hi Penwhale. User:Hypocrit submitted evidence to the gun control Arbcom case alleging that User:North8000 violated his topic ban. However, the alleged violation does not directly relate to gun control, and therefore may be ignored by the committee. Should I submit this evidence to Arbcom/enforcement? The reason I ask (rather than awaiting the outcome of the case) is that there is the possibility that I may be given an interaction ban with the accused. If that happened, I don't know whether I would be permitted to submit evidence of sanction violation on the user. Thanks! — goethean 15:20, 25 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please actually pay attention to the correct name of the user you're talking about ^^;... But yes, if you think the violation of the TBAN is not related to the case proper, file the enforcement request. However, I would say that @Hipocrite: should know about this too. Hi, I noted you are the clerk on the Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Gun control case. What is the status of that case? I had seen a date on the main page that the "Proposed decision" would be out on 12 Feb, but I'm guessing that is merely a target?   • It is a "target date"; remember that unlike the real world, Arbitrators are still volunteers and therefore sometimes things in the real world do get in the way. AE action for Urartu TH[edit]

Hello, Penwhale. I was a party to an AE action [1], where you have closed the discussion by noting that "Urartu TH (talk · contribs) blocked by Sandstein for WP:NPA/WP:AGF issues separate from original request which was not actionable. - Penwhale".

I know that there generally exists a process by which one may appeal a block due to an Arbitration enforcement violation, but what about this type of block? As you noted, I did not violate the Arbitration decision, but rather--according to Sandstein--made remarks that violated WP:NPA/WP:AGF. I disagree with Sandstein and would like to appeal.   • For the record, the fact that you are able to post here means that the block he put on you already expired (and therefore an appeal of the block is now moot). Most blocks that aren't associated with AE are generally appealed on the talk page of the blocked user while they were blocked (so in this case while you were blocked) using the {{unblock}} template. - Penwhale | dance in the air and follow his steps 15:16, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Supremacy RfAr Question[edit]

For [[7]] may I ask why this was marked as frivolous? If the committee votes to not go forward with this, I will accept, but it seems unfair to remove it before there's even chance for arbitration. Specifically, there are a few issues with that request: (1) You haven't shown that there were previous attempts at resolving this issue (arbitration is a last resort); (2) ArbCom doesn't get involved with content issues; namely, you would need to raise the issue that certain things violates policies, (3) Arbitration usually starts after all other dispute resolution attempts have failed. Thank you for your coaching on diffs. I need to learn and use that method and tool. I'll keep you examples ready. It seems I did it wrong for this time so I hope I don't make anybody mad or make more work for the arbs. If what I added gets discounted, I'll learn my lesson. I just hope the hammer doesn't fall on me. Now I'm at Arbcom.....not where I want to spend time as a "party". I think I'm onto it. With the extension, I had time to bundle some of the comments into diffs but left the more important stuff inline (not accusatory, just examples) . Got under 1,000. Thank you much! In the end, to me it's about creating the right environment to keep and tolerate bright established editors who have some eccentricities and also attract new editors...tough balance. Despite all the ranting and legal threats, he does have a point that Hgilbert effectively doxed him by linking to an off-site page. PeteK advertised himself as the author of these edits and as the banned editor in question on a yahoo group posting, identifying me by name therein as well. All I did was refer the admins discussing possible sockpuppetry by the user in question to his own very public posting in which he doxed himself (if that is the right term). He was in fact using IP socks to circumvent the ban and provided his own evidence of this.

Closing an old thread[edit]

Thanks for going to the trouble of closing this thread at AE. It appeared that no participating admin had strong feelings, so the original discussion sagged due to lack of momentum. Atomium image[edit]

Hi Penwhale, I believe that you wrongly, but in good faith, deleted my image Atomium 320 by 240 CCBY20 flickr Mike Cattell.jpg on grounds of 'Violation of FoP'. That would have been a correct action if I had uploaded it to Commons. In contrast, Wikipedia:Non-free content policy allows 'fair use' of copyright images. I just wanted to clarify that the scope of my topic ban that is in regards to "Climate change denial" is just that, rejection of the scientific consensus on climate change and not on climate change in general? Literally the topic ban was from Anthony Watts and from climate change denial, not from all of WP:ARBCC. But in practice, it is up to the banning admin (Penwhale) exactly how to interpret it. If I had been thinking clearly at the time, I would have proposed a ban from all of ARBCC, because the boundaries are hard to draw otherwise. Hi, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement/Archive176#A_Quest_For_Knowledge I made the point that I never heard of a topic ban being reinstated for a shorter period of time, or given a narrower scope, when there is similar problematic behavior after a topic ban has been lifted.[11] Have you? I thought this deserved an answer either way. AE is pretty time-consuming for all involved, and there's an indication we'll be back there after the topic ban expires ("So we let it ride, and hope for things to cool down, and come back later. What I meant was that the motion lifting TBAN does not replace it with a different sanction. In addition, a cursory look through AQFK's talk page shows no actual sanctions since the lifting of Remedy 18 until I imposed via DS a TBAN. Basically, because AQFK had successfully appealed the TBAN in the area and was not subject to any other sanctions at the time of the AE request, coupled with the lack of any active sanctions on AQFK, I believe this is appropriate. If you disagree with the sanction itself, I think you'd have to raise it at WP:ARCA, probably. AE is not the place to seek review (unless you're the sanctioned editor).

Mann Jess's ArbComm filings[edit]

I see some correspondence between Mann Jess and yourself, concerning the complaint she recently refiled against myself and Peter Gulutzan. As you probably know, she succeeded with her complaint against AQFK last month.

In my view, the real problem here is Mann Jess herself (presuming she is a she.). For some time, I’ve been considering filing an ArbCom complaint re Mann Jess’s editing behavior in the CC area, especially in the case of Anthony Watts (blogger) and his WUWT blog. I regard her actions there as egregious POV pushing, tendentious editing and, in general, found her impossible to deal with as a fellow-editor. She's certainly single-minded (imo). Other editors who couldn't deal with her single-minded editing included both Gulutzan and AQFK. A pattern emerges.

You should also be aware of the legal jeopardy that MJ (and others) could be putting the project under: I believe Anthony Watts was receiving legal advice, and perhaps offers of pro bono legal representation, for filing a defamation and slander lawsuit against Wikipedia's parent for the attempted labelling of Watts as a "climate change denier" by MJ and collaborating editors. Watts emphatically rejects this charge. If you like, I will look back & see if I can find the postings at Watts blog re this. I don't think he expressed any interest in actually filing a suit.

Anyway: I certainly don’t have time to compile something on her now now — I don’t really even have time to mount a refutation of her charges here, except to note that many appear to be "ruffled feathers". And I hate this sort of unproductive posturing and namecalling. Ah, well, in the soup now. Tant pis.

I see you are (to date) the only ArbComm who has commented. So: I tried to contact Gulutazn to see if he wanted to collaborate on a complaint againt MJ. He declined.   • I'm only arbcom clerk, and my correspondence with Mann Jess was purely administrative (she's supposed to notify whomever she takes to AE, and she didn't, so I told her she needed to or it could be subject to automatically declination). Appeal of your Sanction[edit]

Hi Penwhale,

Yes, I realize that the sanction has already expired, but this is a matter which reflects on my integrity, which I value highly. If you recall, you sanctioned me for edit-warring to remove WP:BLP violations. As you are no doubt aware, WP:BLP provided exceptions for BLP violations. In fact, BLP requires that editors should remove BLP violations:

"Contentious material about living persons (or, in some cases, recently deceased) that is unsourced or poorly sourced – whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable – should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion.[2] Users who persistently or egregiously violate this policy may be blocked from editing."

I followed Wikipedia policy, yet I was sanctioned for following it. This is backwards. We should not be sanctioning editors for following Wikipedia policy. Can you please revoke your sanction? A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 23:33, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • User:Penwhale's sanction was applied as the conclusion of Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement/Archive176#A Quest For Knowledge. The definition of a BLP violation is a matter for WP consensus. An editor can't just make up his own definition of a BLP problem and then declare himself immune to criticism when he acts on it. The 22 reverts that you made in the name of BLP were all reverted by others. If Penwhale undoes your sanction, it would appear to be declaring that your 22 reverts were justifiable, and that you could have continued forever. The list of your 22 reverts was offered by User:Mann jess in the paragraph beginning "AQFK has also been edit warring on the article for a considerable time.."   • I'm sorry, but that specifically goes against Wikipedia policy. Per WP:BLP, the burden of proof lies on the editor who restores the material, not the other way around. We cannot be sanctioning editors for following policy.
  • Fourth, with regards to "BLP is not a license for infinite reverts", but infinite reverts is exactly what WP:AE is condoning. It takes two to edit war. But only one side was sanctioned. Ironically, it was the side that actually followed content policy. This is completely backwards. The issue of BLP has occurred in the past in WP:ARBCC where editors would tenaciously defend some skeptical scientists and want to remove criticism from their articles on the grounds of 'BLP'. EdJohnston: I absolutely agree that this should be worked out in a proper discussion, not the subject of an edit war. In fact, the irony is that I am one of the strongest advocates of discussion instead of edit-warring. But discussion and BRD only works if everyone is willing to follow it, and we have editors who think that the proper way to resolve content disputes is thru edit-warring, which I strongly oppose. Unfortunately, AE decided to take the side of the edit-warriors who not only violated Wikipedia's conduct rules, but also Wikipedia's content rules. In this ruling, did you seriously mean to legitimize edit-warring as a way to win content disputes? I don't think that was your intent. But that was the net result. WP:BLP errs on the side of caution. Whenever a good faith editor raises a legitimate WP:BLP concern, under no circumstance should any editor edit-war the contentious BLP content back into an article. AQFK, it sounds like you want to gather support for your interpretation of WP:LABEL. That's an issue for community consensus, and you're not likely to get a decision in your favor by going to AE or Arbcom. If a biographical article on a climate change critic is written in unbalanced fashion, that is something that people can work to fix. Revert warring on such an article is unlikely to end well, for whoever does it. If you reread your last AE appeal carefully, you may notice that some of your concerns do get resonance, just not the edit warring. See for example the comment by User:Zero0000. If people use 'denier' to mean 'someone who knows global warming is happening but chooses to deny it' it's like an accusation of lying. Usually Wikipedia is very careful about stuff like that. It plainly states that terms are such as denialist are "best avoided unless widely used by reliable sources to describe the subject. I will repeat: it is wrong to sanction editors for following the rules. And if you want to sanction editors for following the rules, then you should first have the rules changed. Ceremonial pole is a human tradition since ancient times; either existed in past at some point of time, or still exists in some cultures across global continents from north to south & from east to west. The Guggenheim aims to further the goals of the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative, and build on the model of campaigns like the Wikipedia Edit-a-thon at the Guggenheim: Women in Architecture, Wikipedia Asian Month, and Art+Feminism.

Orlando shooting[edit]

The shooter went to an LGBT nightclub, during gay pride and demonstrated a hate for gay men kissing. Many media outlets, political such as Barack Obama and non political figures have made speeches deploring the homophobic nature of the attack and there have been vigils held across cities like London with LGBT flags used. Social media was trending in American and Europe with LGBT support. The target and victims were LGBT people, it has been acknowledged as such and to not have that mentioned in target and replaced with simply 'patrons' avoids the evidence and how it is being seen by officials and the public. Er....no, this is another one you need to take to the talk page, Erzan, because on Wikipedia we do things by consensus, not because one individual wants something to be expressed in a particular way and uses questionable arguments to achieve that end. What about the line of argument was questionable? everything stated can be backed up by evidence from credible sources like the BBC, Guardian, CNN, speeches from the US President Barack Obama, UK Prime Minister, international organisations and domestic national authorities. The victims and target were the LGBT community. It is being treated as a terrorist and homophobic hate crime. Using the holocaust as a comparison may offend, it does not detract from the argument. Extended confirmed protection[edit]

Hello, Penwhale. This message is intended to notify administrators of important changes to the protection policy.

Extended confirmed protection (also known as "30/500 protection") is a new level of page protection that only allows edits from accounts at least 30 days old and with 500 edits. The automatically assigned "extended confirmed" user right was created for this purpose. The protection level was created following this community discussion with the primary intention of enforcing various arbitration remedies that prohibited editors under the "30 days/500 edits" threshold to edit certain topic areas.

In July and August 2016, a request for comment established consensus for community use of the new protection level. Administrators are authorized to apply extended confirmed protection to combat any form of disruption (e.g. vandalism, sock puppetry, edit warring, etc.) on any topic, subject to the following conditions:

  • Extended confirmed protection may only be used in cases where semi-protection has proven ineffective. It should not be used as a first resort.
  • A bot will post a notification at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard of each use. MusikBot currently does this by updating a report, which is transcluded onto the noticeboard.

I don't want to Pass the article to GA status and then find out I missed something in the references because of my reliance on Google Translate...

A new user right for New Page Patrollers[edit]

Hi Penwhale.

A new user group, New Page Reviewer, has been created in a move to greatly improve the standard of new page patrolling. The user right can be granted by any admin at PERM. It is highly recommended that admins look beyond the simple numerical threshold and satisfy themselves that the candidates have the required skills of communication and an advanced knowledge of notability and deletion. Admins are automatically included in this user right.

It is anticipated that this user right will significantly reduce the work load of admins who patrol the performance of the patrollers. However,due to the complexity of the rollout, some rights may have been accorded that may later need to be withdrawn, so some help will still be needed to some extent when discovering wrongly applied deletion tags or inappropriate pages that escape the attention of less experienced reviewers, and above all, hasty and bitey tagging for maintenance. User warnings are available here but very often a friendly custom message works best.

On Saturday December 3, 2016, in conjunction with a global campaign, the Guggenheim will host its fifth Wikipedia edit-a-thon—or, #guggathon—to enhance Wikipedia's coverage of modern and contemporary artists from Greater China. The event will cap off Wikipedia Asian Month, an online campaign dedicated to augmenting Asian content on Wikipedia throughout November.

New and experienced editors are welcome. The event will include a training session for participants who are new to Wikipedia, and Wikipedia specialists will be on hand to provide basic instruction and editing support. Editors are invited to view the exhibition Tales of Our Time following the event.

The Guggenheim aims to raise awareness of the artists featured in the Tales of Our Time exhibition supported by The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Chinese Art Initiative, and build on the model of campaigns like the Wikipedia Edit-a-thon at the Guggenheim: Women in Architecture, Wikipedia Edit-a-thon at the Guggenheim: Contemporary Art of the Middle East and North Africa, and Art+Feminism.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Edit-a-thon: Met Open Access Initiative is the Metropolitan Museum of Art's first edit-a-thon, being hosted on Sunday May 21, 2017 in Thomas J. Watson Library at The Met Fifth Avenue in New York City.

The Met is excited to make available over 375,000 images of public domain artworks for contribution to Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons from the museum’s collection spanning 5,000 years of art. The event is an opportunity for Wikimedia communities to engage The Met's diverse collection onsite and remotely. The event is a key marker too of The Metropolitan Museum of Art's first Wikimedian-in-Residence program, with resident Richard Knipel (User:Pharos), along with Wikimedia NYC. We invite you to help enhance Wikimedia communities and platforms with open access images from The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The event requires pre-registration. To register, 1) please sign-up with Eventbrite via The Met's website and 2) add your Wikipedia username to the #Participants on the wikimeetup page. Please check-in with museum staff when you arrive at the Thomas J. Watson Library within the museum.

Join us for an evening of social Wikipedia editing at the Museum of Modern Art Library's third annual Wiki Loves Pride Edit-a-thon, during which we will create, update, and improve Wikipedia articles pertaining to LGBT art, culture and history.

All are invited, with no specialized knowledge of the subject or Wikipedia editing experience required.

Themes for this event include art related to HIV/AIDS activism and on LGBTQ artists of the African Diaspora as part of the Black Lunch Table project.

Experienced Wikipedians will be on-hand to assist throughout the day. Please bring your laptop and power cord; we will have library resources, WiFi, and a list of suggested topics on hand.

On the last Sunday of every month, the Boardroom at Ace Hotel New York hosts Action Equals History — a unique opportunity for New Yorkers to learn hands-on in a technology training/workshop session about the mechanics, practices and benefits of Wikipedia and the Wikimedia projects. This is an opportunity for all to gather, share and work collectively towards a more robust account of history.

For this month, we'll focus on Wikipedia casual editing, ways to use and develop Wikidata, building better edit-a-thon tools for a variety of different thematic campaigns, and user-testing them with the community. Towards a goal of advancing these tools for wider use with diverse local groups.

Beginning in September 2017, the Wikimedia Foundation Anti-harassment tool team will be conducting a survey to gauge how well tools, training, and information exists to assist English Wikipedia administrators in recognizing and mitigating things like sockpuppetry, vandalism, and harassment.

The survey should only take 5 minutes, and your individual response will not be made public. This survey will be integral for our team to determine how to better support administrators.

This event is the concluding "upload party" to the Wikipedia @ Open House New York Weekend photo scavenger hunt, and an accompanying Wikimedia Commons tutorial and multimedia hackathon,

Learn how to work with your photos to illustrate New York City articles!

Note that this is part of the larger Open House New York Weekend activities on Saturday and Sunday, when sites normally closed to the public are open for public visits and photography.

If you can, bring your camera/photos to the event, and a laptop if you'd like to engage in adding photos to articles. But this is not necessary.

The Wikipedia Asian Month Edit-a-thon @ The Met will be the Metropolitan Museum of Art's second edit-a-thon, hosted on Sunday November 19, 2017 in the Bonnie Sacerdote Classroom, Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education (81st Street entrance) at The Met Fifth Avenue in New York City.

Following the first Met edit-a-thon in May 2017, the museum is excited to work with Wikipedia Asian Month for the potential to seed new articles about Asian artworks, artwork types, and art traditions, from any part of Asia. These can be illustrated with thousands of its recently-released images of public domain artworks available for Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons from the museum’s collection spanning 5,000 years of art. The event is an opportunity for Wikimedia communities to engage The Met's diverse Asian collections onsite and remotely.

Hello, Penwhale. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Re: Request for change/feature to Template:Progress meter[edit]

The changes have been made. Unfortunately, I noticed the syntax for that created template made use of lots of absolute positioning and tables to achieve its look. As the creator of the template, I took it upon myself to fix this, and now the syntax is much more readable, modifiable, and just a slight more customizable(grads is a new parameter). Hello, Penwhale. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Translat-a-thon NYC 2019 @ LaGuardia Community College is hosting the second annual Wikipedia Translatathon! At this event on Thursday evening and during the day Friday this week, anyone from the public is invited to LaGuardia to join students, professors, and CUNY faculty in translating Wikipedia articles among any languages which attendees understand. Themes for this event include public health and the history of New York City.

New York City has a large immigrant population and great diversity of speakers of various languages. Among all schools in New York City, LaGuardia has the highest percentage of immigrant students, the highest percentage of students who speak a language other than English as their first language, and the greatest representation of language diversity. It is a strength of LaGuardia that it can present "Wikipedia translatathons", which are Wikipedia translation events.

Administrator account security (Correction to Arbcom 2019 special circular)[edit]

ArbCom would like to apologise and correct our previous mass message in light of the response from the community.

Since November 2018, six administrator accounts have been compromised and temporarily desysopped. In an effort to help improve account security, our intention was to remind administrators of existing policies on account security — that they are required to "have strong passwords and follow appropriate personal security practices." We have updated our procedures to ensure that we enforce these policies more strictly in the future. The policies themselves have not changed. In particular, two-factor authentication remains an optional means of adding extra security to your account. The choice not to enable 2FA will not be considered when deciding to restore sysop privileges to administrator accounts that were compromised.

We are sorry for the wording of our previous message, which did not accurately convey this, and deeply regret the tone in which it was delivered.

The Wikipedia Asian Month Edit-a-thon @ The Met will be hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Saturday November 16, 2019 in the Bonnie Sacerdote Classroom, Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education (81st Street entrance) at The Met Fifth Avenue in New York City.

The museum is excited to work with Wikipedia Asian Month for the potential to seed new articles about Asian artworks, artwork types, and art traditions, from any part of Asia. These can be illustrated with thousands of its recently-released images of public domain artworks available for Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons from the museum’s collection spanning 5,000 years of art. The event is an opportunity for Wikimedia communities to engage The Met's diverse Asian collections onsite and remotely. Asia Art Archive will host a sister event in Hong Kong next week.

It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Friday Jan 15: ONLINE Wikipedia Day NYC[edit]

January 15, 6pm: Wikimedia NYC celebrates 20 years of Wikipedia

Wikipedia Day is always a big day for Wikimedia NYC. While we cannot meet in person, we still have something special planned. We will begin the event with the debut of a new video celebrating our community. This will be followed by a panel discussion with some of the people you'll see in the video talking about Wikipedia's 20th anniversary, Wikimedia New York City, and the amazing work they do on Wikimedia projects.

The event will be broadcast live via YouTube. Feel free to ask questions for the panel through the chat!

We will also have some NYC wiki trivia you can participate in, with confectionery prizes.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Administrators will no longer be autopatrolled[edit]

A recently closed Request for Comment (RFC) reached consensus to remove Autopatrolled from the administrator user group. You may, similarly as with Edit Filter Manager, choose to self-assign this permission to yourself. This will be implemented the week of December 13th, but if you wish to self-assign you may do so now. How we will see unregistered users[edit]

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.

We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.

New administrator activity requirement[edit]

The administrator policy has been updated with new activity requirements following a successful Request for Comment.

Beginning January 1, 2023, administrators who meet one or both of the following criteria may be desysopped for inactivity if they have:

  1. Made neither edits nor administrative actions for at least a 12-month period OR
  2. Made fewer than 100 edits over a 60-month period

Administrators at risk for being desysopped under these criteria will continue to be notified ahead of time. Thank you for your continued work.
