Speedy deletion nomination of Talk:Huw McCarthy
A tag has been placed on Talk:Huw McCarthy, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer. (See section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Ominateu (talk) 20:18, 1 March 2024 (UTC)

Is there a reason that you are not issuing BLP violation warnings to the users vandalizing this page? Does WP:DENY apply? WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 21:17, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
- WikiDan61 Take a look at the page history and I think you'll find that WP:DENY applies. It's a ongoing issue. Philipnelson99 (talk) 21:18, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 21:21, 1 March 2024 (UTC)

You recently left me a notification. Is there some better way to address these sorts of issues? I'm finding it difficult to evaluate this sort of thing without coming to that conclusion. Can you link me some wikipedia guidelines or such that can help?

Hello, I'm Philipnelson99. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Kate Craig—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Hi, I'm not the IP you've reverted but I am not sure I agree with your revert. 'Crimes' seems a reasonable way to phrase it and in any case I think some of their edits are uncontroversial and should not be reverted, like removing his first name in subsequent mentions. Jtrrs0 (talk) 20:14, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Jtrrs0 I think you're mistaken. My revert removed deliberate vandalism. Philipnelson99 (talk) 21:04, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
