Panama Canal documentary

[edit]

Responding to your invitation on my talk page: sure, I'd be more than happy to help. Some background: I'm a third-generation (at least) Zonian, and spent my childhood and adolescence on the Pacific side of the Zone (1959-1976). My father was a civil engineer for the Panama Canal Company, and rose to the director level by the time of his retirement in 1980. I have a lot of personal experience to draw on, as well as contacts within the Zonian community, and some rare promotional books from the early days of the Canal. Mark Shaw (talk) 16:08, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

regarding your invite, i'm afraid i don't really know anything about the canal, my edits were mostly about cleaning-up/formatting Tom B (talk) 20:10, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Patricia. It is very nice of you to ask, but unfortunately I have no expertise whatsoever about the subject. I wish you the best. SamEV (talk) 13:31, 11 December 2010 (UTC)Psingleton (talk) 14:29, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you for your friendly invitation to contribute. But I think I am at the end of my knowledge in this. Maybe, when I am inspired, I could & would like expand on the Gorgas's yellow fever campaign. As said, by inspiration. -DePiep (talk) 22:14, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Added Gorgas tot the PC template ;-) -DePiep (talk) 22:23, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure how much of an expert I am on the Canal. I made my edits when I was working on a paper for grad school about ten years ago. Thanks for asking though, and good luck with your film.Notmyrealname (talk) 21:22, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Lampin Corporation

[edit]

Hello Psingleton,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Lampin Corporation for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Trivialist (talk) 03:42, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:TEDx Talk in Windham NH.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on File:Lampin Corporation Logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay.
