Don't forget that the Article of Focus department is up-and-running and having great success. The collaboration is currently in a "Promotional Period". Please visit the talk page to nominate an article to receive the AoF attention. Also Blackngold29 has recently started the Slipknot Portal. Don't forget to visit it when you can.

Since the projects inception in the early part of the year the project has grown tremendously and is currently thriving and offering great support to Slipknot related articles. Congratulations to all members and let's keep this up!

Metalcore

Hello. I noticed you reverted the changes I made to Atreyu (band) and Darkest Hour (band). First of all, if you could prove I am wrong and these bands are metalcore, then it should be no trouble at all to provide a citation. I own all of Atreyu's early releases (everything from Visions up to The Curse) and have heard their newer material. I also own some Darkest Hour material. When distinguishing metalcore from every other subgenre of metal, it is the emphasis on the breakdowns that make metalcore distinct from the others. It is obvious that Atreyu is simply a heavy metal band that has screaming and clean vocals. Even Dan Jacobs is almost entirely influenced by 80's hair metal, which he has stated in many interviews. Just because a metal band has screaming and clean vocals does not mean it is metalcore. Also, Darkest Hour mostly focuses their sound on speed and melody, not the breakdowns. Because of these reasons, it seems to me these two bands are not metalcore at all.
