Don't sign

Welcome to Wikipedia. Just a quick note, we don't sign our additions in article namespace: if you want to advertise which articles you have created please do so in your user page. Thanks. -- Graham  :) | Talk 20:27, 3 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Dictionary Definitions

When making internal wiki links then think about linking to articles, not dictionary definitions. So in the silly season article linking to subscriptions makes sense since the subscription model is explained, but linking to "frivolous" does not, since it would just be a dictionary definition. Wikipedia readers are assumed to know the words, or at least be capable of fetching a dictionary to look them up :). Thue 20:46, 3 Jun 2004 (UTC)

deletion process

Regarding your efforts to have Mendijur Ornithological Park deleted: This [1] was a bad use of Twinkle as you reverted three edits in order to restore your PROD tag, and your edit summary for some reason references AFD. It is true that AFD tags should not be removed while discussion is underway, but this was a proposed deletion tag which is a different process. If you add a PROD template to an article, (other than a biography of a living person) any user may remove it at any time, and it may not be replaced once it has been removed. The purpose of PROD is to preform uncontroversial deletions, if there is any objection the PROD is considered invalid. As to the speedy deletion nomination, the tag itself says "A very short article may still be a valid stub if there is sufficient context to identify the subject." I have therefore declined the speedy nomination and have improved the article a bit. If you still feel it should be deleted I believe the only remaining option is to nominate it for a deletion discussion as it does not appear to meet any of the criteria for speedy deletion and the proposed deletion has already been declined. Beeblebrox (talk) 20:38, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

You are correct - I farked up, which is why I reverted myself. Safety Cap (talk) 20:41, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Hello Wikifiers!

Sorry this Newsletter is late, It should have gone out a month ago. I've been very busy in real life and didn't have time to get over to the newsletter. In this edition of the Newsletter, we have an editorial written by our new executive coordinator; Guoguo12. Guoguo12 has succeeded Mono due to an indefinite wikibreak. We also have the results of the February and March Mini drives.

Happy Wikifying,

Rollback?

Looking at your contributions right now, I see that you have made a considerable amount of reverts using Twinkle. Have you ever considered requesting for rollback? I think you qualify for it, and it will not only let you use Huggle and Igloo, it will also let you revert vandalism much, much faster than Twinkle. You can request for it right here at WP:RFP/R. Usb10 plug me in 01:16, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi Usb10! I never thought about asking for the rollback privs and it sounds like it would certainly help. :) Thank you Safety Cap (talk) 14:47, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
And that's added for you. No problem. Pedro :  Chat  18:06, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
Cool, thanks Safety Cap (talk) 18:08, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Maria of Aragon, Queen of Castile

How are my edits on Maria of Aragon, Queen of Castile considered vandalism?! I was merely improving the article. I added an image of her coat of arms as Queen, improve the infobox and list her burial place, seperated Leon and Castile into two links.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 20:42, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

You are right; I screwed up. Sorry. Safety Cap (talk) 20:47, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
