Welcome![edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Please do not tag an article with 123 citations as needing more.[edit]

As you did at Slavery in ancient Rome. Most of your edits have been reverted I note. Doug Weller talk 19:12, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:LEAD. The basic answer is no if they are in the article. Sure, I see many leads with sources, partially because not all editors understand this, and also because sometimes strong statements are seen as needing sources in the lead. Doug Weller talk 19:53, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
