Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Sashaninichole, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Writing about yourself is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians.

As this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. We require individuals to meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable person to accept articles about them. A page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to or change it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please stop removing the AfC template from Draft:Sashani Nichole. Draft templates help reviewers know the progress of improvements to the draft. They should remain in place until the draft is approved for publication. • Gene93k (talk) 23:18, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thank you. Just learning and pasting full source code on the field Blueskygirl (talk) 23:30, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
At this point, you are edit warring. You have also repeatedly undone work to clean up the page according to Wikipedia standards and you have restored inappropriate promotional prose. If you are pasting from a source outside Wikipedia, please stop! Also, please note that as notability is not contagious, name dropping does not help the subject. The edits you insist on making are not helping to establish the notability of this actress. For the last time, leave the AfC templates alone. • Gene93k (talk) 23:51, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just trying to establish notability as she’s the third lead in the movie and credited everywhere. I was using chat got for help to create the article and the wiki as it stated it was neutral tone and helped me find the source the info and details. Im not trying to break any rules. Appreciate your help. Blueskygirl (talk) 00:20, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Two things: 1. The general advice for using generative AI like ChatGPT is to avoid it. The prose is inappropriate and several of the citations used are unacceptable in Wikipedia. 2. As for notability, please see the WP:NACTOR guideline. A significant role in one notable production is not enough. Other claims of notable roles need good quality references to support them. • Gene93k (talk) 00:36, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t understand why you’re being rude to me. There’s no named dropping here. I’m trying to source according to Wikipedia standards and if I’m trying to figure it out, there’s no need to accuse me of something that I’m not doing. I’m literally just trying to write an article and learning the Wikipedia standard at the same time. This is my first attempt. Blueskygirl (talk) 23:57, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am not trying to be rude, but I did say the changes you insist on making are counterproductive. A closer look at edit histories shows that you are are the subject or are closely related to her. This is WP:autobiography and you have already been warned against this. Please stop. Wikipedia is not a soapbox for self promotion. If you insist on following this course, the draft will likely never get approved for publication. • Gene93k (talk) 00:11, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple accounts?

[edit]

Hello, Blueskygirl,

Are you also User:SashaniOfficial? If so, you should not have created another account as your previous account was blocked. You need to file an unblock request from your original account.

If you have questions, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 19:14, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you for the information. I created the username Sashani official based on ChatGPT giving me the advice to say I’m a person that’s official. I’ve never done wiki before. I’m not an organization or a fan club, Which it was blocked based on someone assuming that that’s was the case, so I asked ChatGPT and was told to just start another user ID. Since that one caused an issue of confusion, I don’t know how to request an unblock. I tried to figure it out using ChatGPT. I don’t even want to use Wikipedia anymore. It’s just too difficult because the users and editors keep assuming things that are not the case and I’m literally just trying to join a new platform and learn how to use it. but I’m not experienced enough to do this. Blueskygirl (talk) 19:29, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The people here are just trying to help. The best advice I can give you is stop using ChatGPT to interact with Wikipedia. It is steering you wrong every time. ChatGPT gave the worst possible advice. The content it generated got the article nuked. If you are not officially connected to Sashani Nichole, you are welcome to contribute to Wikipedia as just you yourself, and let SashaniOfficial stay locked. That account goes against multiple Wikipedia policies. Finally, Wikipedia is a collaborative project. If you try again with Sashani Nichole, you need to let other HUMAN editors help to improve the draft to a state that it is fit to publish. Also, the people at the above-mentioned Teahouse are friendly and helpful. Finally, ChatGPT has no allegiance to the truth and only a limited concept of rules and reality. It can suggest syntax, but it should never be trusted for advice. • Gene93k (talk) 02:24, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Yes I see it has steered me wrong. It gave me bad suggestions from user names to the content and what needs to be written for notability etc. Appreciate your help. I’ll probably steer clear for now from creation or editing as it was so time consuming and wasn’t the correct info. Sorry if I broke any rules due to my inexperience. Thanks again for taking the time to explain. Blueskygirl (talk) 02:31, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
