Hi. I noticed that you banked and redirected this article to a disambiguation page. Because that's not a typical way of resolving a content issue, I reverted your edit and sent the page to AFD. If you would like to provide a more detailed rationale for removing the content, please share your thoughts at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tobor. Thanks! - Eureka Lott 00:30, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Request reason:

I understand the reason for my blocking – I updated a link to my blog in the reference section of a Wiki article and corrected the misspelled name of my blog. However, I only corrected the link that had already been posted by another user and I have never used Wikipedia to promote my own blog by posting links from it. All I wanted to do was to correct the link, which led to an old and soon to be defunct version of my blog. However, I can see the problem regarding my username being the same as my blog, and am thus happy to change it. I do hope that I might get unblocked, as I feel I have something to contribute to the Wikipedia community.

Accept reason:

Hi JanneWass, I've reviewed your request. Because we haven't seen a response to the below question, I can't unblock you right now. But if you agree (this will be a binding agreement) not to make edits to articles that relate to your blog in any way, and the blocking administrator agrees, I will unblock you. (You will also be able to request edits about your blog on talk pages of articles.) Does this sound good? If so, you can respond below and make sure to ping me by including the text {{ping|L235}} and your signature in a post below, or you can email me. Unblocking per below, conditional upon an agreement not to edit mainspace articles about your blog. Best, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 22:06, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What do you want to contribute? Would you agree to no longer edit about your blog directly(edit requests would be okay)? 331dot (talk) 17:17, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@L235: Thank you Kevin! And sorry about the delayed reply. I agree never again to edit anything regarding my blog, and I will continue, as I have always tried, not to use Wikipedia to promote my blog. However, I hope that I can still be allowed to edit about science fiction films in general, since that it something of a speciality of mine, blog or no blog. But if the terms state that this is not allowed either, then I will abide by this. JanneWass (talk) 20:48, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@L235: @331dot: Under those conditions, and JanneWass statement above I have no issues. -- Alexf(talk) 21:06, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Renamed

[edit]

Renamed Scifist to JanneWass. Another administrator will review your unblock appeal. Yunshui  10:55, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
