Welcome to Wikipedia!

[edit]

Hey there. I see you're new to editing Wikipedia. I was there one day (11 years ago), and I still edit today! I was lucky to have people help me out when I started, and there is an entire project of Wikipedians (what we call ourselves) who could help.

I noticed you were editing 1976 Pacific typhoon season (which I have on my watchlist). You should know that you need to include references when you add information to Wikipedia, but that's where the help comes in from the other users. There are a lot of sources we've found over the years.

If you're interested in meeting the other users, we regularly talk via IRC. Just enter your user name, enter #wiki-hurricanes as the channel, and confirm you're not a robot. :) ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 20:01, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding this edit, make sure you double check the source first. Storms in the northern hemisphere generally go northward, especially for being around that long. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 20:13, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there, let me know if you get this message. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 16:48, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Any reason you skip lines and write your content below the clear template - the latter of which is needed so the infobox text gets squashed without it in the desktop version. YE Pacific Hurricane 18:26, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please re-word the article and ensure that it meets our WP:MOS. Furthermore the tone is very much off and too promotional. I’d advise that you use the AFC method to publish the article. Reading WP:YFA is also pivotal. Celestina007 (talk) 15:54, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Linguistic discrimination, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mandarin. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
