86.157.28.172 (talk) 20:10, 26 January 2009 (UTC)1. i am nothing to do with roy ward, and i would thank you not to jump to any such conclusions without any attempt at discussion first! 2. on one page you say there is no heirarchy then on the other you do - this is contradictory! 3. you seem to have developed some kind of attachment to the pages you mention and are starting to treat them as if they are your property - this is not correct either from the point of view of Buddhism nor from Wikipedia! 4. you removed the part about "transmission" which can be found in the page on Vajrayana Buddhism and which is a more accurate description of the practise - the descrition that remains is equally unsourced, and not really accurate. 5. you have removed the reference to the E-sangha buddhist community, which, had you read, you would find to be a balanced discussion of the issues, and which i think should be included somewhere on this page for those wishing to find a more in depth discussion of the concerns that several people have tried to raise here despite your repeated attempts at censorship. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.157.28.172 (talk) 22:28, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Question Jan 2009

{{helpme}} I could not revert disruptive edits due to "intermediate edits". What does that mean? Is there any alternatives to manual reverts in such a case? Siru108 (talk) 18:44, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Hi Siru. No there is no alternative. Once an intervening edit overlaps an edit you want to undo, the software, just not as smart as a human, cannot parse the change. You are left with a manual revert. Cheers.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 18:50, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Socks

I had wondered about Jofakēt - I reverted a series of edits to assorted subjects where a 'Retafon' language version of the title was added. I found that on Wapedia a similar thing had been added by Peter Robinson Scott - and couldn't find relevant Retafons anywhere else. Peter Robinson Scott is a sock of Roy Ward according to his user pages. This series stopped, and a load of AfDs followed. Peridon (talk) 19:42, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Not quite sure what's involved there - this is a new area for me. I'm mostly involved with new accounts, AfD and copy-ed... Peridon (talk) 22:06, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Had a go anyway. Peridon (talk) 22:59, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

discuss in talk pages?

maybe you have overlooked my justification for the edit which i wrote in the discussion page about DWB?

please can you discuss before undoing - that means to read and reply to what i have written in the talk page.

on the Ole Nydahl page - why are you undoing spelling corrections?

Buddhism in Denmark

Thanks! That article seems still to rely on a single source though. :) Bladeofgrass (talk) 19:50, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Kalachakra stupa

Hi Siru108, I modified the heading paragraph of Kalachakra stupa, because it did not explain what a Kalachakra stupa actually is. The first sentence of an article should explain what the subject is, with wikilinks to needed concepts. No need to reexplain what a stupa is, a wikilink to stupa is enough. I also fixed some typos. I think you should write "stupa" and not "Stupa" in most cases, same for "Kalachakra", but I am not sure, so I let you decide and make it coherent. Good luck with the article :-) Cheers Nicolas1981 (talk) 08:29, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

BOT

{{helpme}} I tried setting up a BOT to auto archive threads on my talk page. It doesn't seem to work, what did I do wrong? Siru108 (talk) 07:18, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

I should have fixed it. Just wait a little bit of time; it should archive within a few hours. NuclearWarfare (Talk) 07:30, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

URL and space

{{helpme}}

Hi helpers. When using an URL as a source, I came across one URL-adress wich had a space in it... Is there any code or something I can put around the entire URL, in order to Wikipedia to understand that this is all part of the same URL? Right now, WP will split it up, and clicking the link will send you on a non-existent adress.

Thank you for your time! Siru108 (talk) 19:51, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

You can probably fix it by sticking the "_" where the space would be. URLs are not allowed to have spaces in them in general; the browser would most likely put that charecter in automatically. ResMar 19:59, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

I already tried that, but it doesn't work. The adress is only right with a space in it... Siru108 (talk) 20:01, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Could you post the link here, it'd be easier to solve the problem with a real url to play with. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 20:08, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
What browser are you using and what article were you trying to link? Add the {{helpme}} template back on when you're ready♠ and I'll send you the link back. - Jameson L. Tai talkguestbookcontribs 20:09, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

I use firefox normally, and this is the link: http://www.sappho.dk/Den loebende/nydahl-english.html

I tried using explorer to open it after you guys asked about my browser, it seems to work like this in explorer (but not in firefox): http://www.sappho.dk/Den%loebende/nydahl-english.html

So, maybe just change the link into that, and then it is just too bad for people using firefox? Siru108 (talk) 09:23, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

You need to use %20 for a space, not just %. Cheers. //roux   09:29, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Works perfect! Thank you! Siru108 (talk) 13:21, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
