dotBEST

[edit]

Hi there,

Thanks for helping to curate the dotBEST article. Can you please give me some more specific feedback on how the article is promotional?

Thanks!

The article itself does nothing except promote dotBEST; it isn't neutral or encyclopedic at all. Read up on this on this clicky-link. SpeedyAstro (talk) 03:57, 5 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Thank you!

Re your message: Not a problem. I saw the article in Recent Changes shortly after you tagged it. It was obvious something funny was going on with it and highly unlikely to be able to meet its lofty proclamation. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:46, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Recent Changes? Is that another thing people patrol, like New Page Curation? If so, I might get into it! SpeedyAstro (talk) 04:53, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it is at Special:RecentChanges. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:15, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Rundle Park (Edmonton), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Paddleboat (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Teahouse talkback: you've got messages!

[edit]
Hello, SpeedyAstro. Your question has been answered at the Teahouse Q&A board. Feel free to reply there!
Please note that all old questions are archived after 2-3 days of inactivity. Message added by Jinkinson talk to me 04:05, 8 December 2013 (UTC). (You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{teahouse talkback}} template).[reply]

The article Dawson Park (Edmonton) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of how this might meet notability guidelines. Lacks citations to significant coverage in reliable sources. Appears to be a run-of-the-mill city park.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
