Adoption

[edit]

Hi there! You have inserted on your userpage a userbox indicating that you would like to be adopted by an experienced editor. I have some experience, and would be happy to adopt you, if you wish. You have no entries on your user page (almost) or your talk page, and I am therefore going to assume that you know nothing about wikipedia. If I am wrong, please forgive me.

I have sent you (below) our standard welcome page, which will help you to learn the basics of the encyclopedia. Left-click on a blue link to open up the relevant item.

To contact me, if you wish, left-click on the name (in blue) at the bottom of this message. This will take you to my userpage, where you can find out a little about me and decide if you would like me to mentor you. From ther, left-click on "discussion", then left-click on the "+" between "editvthis page" and "history". In the little text box that appears, type in any two or three word title for your message that you like - "hello", or "help", or "happy new year" or anything at all. Hit the "tab" key, which is on your keyboard above caps lock and has 2 arrows on it, and then type away all you want. When you have finished, sign off with four "tildes" - like so - ~~~~ - to insert your name and the time and date of your edit. I look forward to working with you.--Anthony.bradbury 23:17, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! --Anthony.bradbury 23:17, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
