Hi there, thanks:

I have a problem:

I tried to redirect Meretz into Meretz-Yachad after completing a succesful merge, in accordence with Wikipedia's guidelines for merging articles.

However, despite using the crrect redirect template somhow the previous version "reverted itself" and although the last redirect version appears in the page history, on the page itself the previous version appears!

Can you tell me what's going on and help me fix this?Tal :) 13:54, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Problem fixed! thanx anyway :) Tal :) 14:02, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

help me[edit]

Hi, my question is how to use the align paremeter when grouping user boxes using {{useboxtop}} {{userbox}} {{userboxbottom}}(just right/ left isn't good enough).

Hello, I'm sorry, but the {{helpme}} template is for use by newcomers looking for basic editing help - your request is a bit outside of its scope. Please try the Village Pump (technical) for technical help. Cheers, Tangotango 11:46, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmmmm... according to the instructions.

Typing:

{{userboxtop|
|align = right
}}

blahblahblahblah

{{userboxbottom}}

Should align it to the right correctly. Thanks for asking for help. ^.^ -- The Prophet Wizard of the Crayon Cake (Prophesize|Witchcraft) 11:50, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'll hang around to ask any more questions you have on it, just in case. I love helping out folks, and if you'd like I'll help you out with the Wikipedia policies and guidelines. -- The Prophet Wizard of the Crayon Cake (Prophesize|Witchcraft) 11:52, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aha! The problem was that the "My views" userbox wasn't set down low enough, so it sort of "stuck" against the babel boxes, so I inserted a few breaks between the two, and it lined up all the way to the right. I also made some minor formatting changes, based on your description of what you wanted. Does that look about right, or did I screw up? :) -- The Prophet Wizard of the Crayon Cake (Prophesize|Witchcraft) 12:28, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tanks a million! That was really helpful ;) Could you give a reference for a place that explains all the different align paremeters though? (you used, for example 'vertical-align", or something). I would like to know that so next time I would be able to do what you did myself and not need to bother you...Tal :) 12:35, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Uh oh! It looks like it messed up again. But yeah... lemme find you some resources. Sorry about the delayed reply. -- The Prophet Wizard of the Crayon Cake (Prophesize|Witchcraft) 14:12, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Er... sorry for the delay... basically the aligns are as follows:

  • Align (a.k.a. horizontal align)
    • left
    • center
    • right
    • justify
  • Vertical-align (sometimes valign or v-align)
    • top
    • middle
    • bottom

mertz[edit]

I admire Yossi beilin as a smart person But I don't think he is honest as poiticai. If ran Kohen would be be #1 I would vore for them. Zeq 12:15, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Classics[edit]

I didn't realize I reverted your reversion. The Culture cat was overpopulated. Classics fits Humanities, a Culture subcat. Maurreen 15:09, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I had thought it was already there. Maurreen 15:18, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I wanted to take Indo-Iyran out, but there is something strange about that page that I couldn't. Also, there isn't much in the category now, because I worked on it. Earlier it had more than 100 items and was tagged for fixing. Maurreen 15:26, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

re: Political categories[edit]

Yeah, pretty soon. I wouldn't mind if this one runs a bit longer than usual, though, as long as the discussion is still dynamic. A third option was proposed pretty late in the game, which complicates things a bit. -GTBacchus(talk) 21:24, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm the last guy who should consider closing that discussion (I'm slightly... ahem... involved), so I'm really not someone who can guarantee you extra time, but I agree with your request, and I suggest you repeat it in the discussion, where the relevant people will see it better than they'll see it on my talk page. -GTBacchus(talk) 19:12, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Accused Zionist" template deletion[edit]

Eliminating that from my userspace without so much as discussion is abuse of your power as an admin. If you do it again, we'll have to take this to moderation by a third party, because I am not going to change a damn thing based on the unilateral actions of one person. German solution.[edit]

Of course I don't mind that you move {User democracy2} to your user space! Velho 13:11, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

World's Smallest Political Quiz userbox[edit]

You may be interested in User:Audacity/Userboxes/WSPQ, which is a replacement for the old Political Chart userbox. The new userbox takes the two variables (economic and personal freedom), calculates which political alignment they place you into (Statist, Libertarian, Liberal, Centrist, or Conservative), and links your userpage to the appropriate category.

re: returned links that were removed for no apparent reason

The reason I removed the links to Ratz, Mapam, Shinui and Yossi Beilin in the See Also section is that they are already present in the article above. You don't need links in the See Also section that are mentioned above. Number 57 22:05, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
