A tag has been placed on Draft:Guillaume Alan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — Newslinger talk 22:56, 9 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for message. I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the subject, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what he claims or interviewing him. Most of your articles were magazine reviews of his work, often including what he says about himself and sometimes contact details. I don't think that these are all acceptable sources, but in any case they have been cherry-picked for spam rather than verifying real facts.
  • It's therefore difficult to see how he meets the notability criteria I linked above
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of claims presented as fact include: He opened his own design studio at the age of 24 (unsourced) drew public and press attention opening his designed studio which he designed: minimalist, combining very pure lines, concrete floor and wood panelling... manufactured by the best craftsmen... Many of his pieces are immortalized and photographed by the most prestigious photographers for worldwide campaigns... very close and powerful encounters with high-demanding clients who entrusted Alan... Alan works on projects throughout the UK, France and internationally and his work is acclaimed and published in the major publications all over the globe... Appreghending [sic] projects as a whole in the finest tradition of French design... Alan’s [sic] knows how to combine minimalism and classicism and proves that the notion "less is more" is anything but simple... With elegance and refinment [sic], the way how he defines space is very clean — and so on ad mauseam, it's a fact-free promo, not an encyclopaedia article.
  • I note that your user name appears to represent The DM Lab, and you have only edited this topic. You have an obvious conflict of interest and you must declare it. If you are working directly or indirectly for him or an associated organisation, or otherwise are acting on his behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. If you are paid directly or indirectly, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Tippo27. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Tippo27|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block.

The only reason that you are not indefinitely blocked already for violating our user name policy is that you have taken steps to remedy that before I got here. Nevertheless, if you do not comply with our COI requirements or if you post such obviously unencyclopaedic promotion again, I won't hesitate to block you without further warning. We don't want paid PR releases here, just factual articles

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. You must also reply to the COI request above

The fact that other articles have not been deleted doesn't help you, either they met the criteria or should be deleted as well. See other stuff exists. Also note that many articles would have been accepted before the notability guidelines were made stricter. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:37, 14 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Jim a great reply and makes alot of sense for me, it will allow us to reform the content correctly, I haven't published through wikipedia before so I can only learn and improve. I changed my user name as on one of the IRC channels to was noted this maybe an issue as its related to my business. As I have been doing this as me personally not as the business it has become confused, I have a habit of using my business name as my user name on various things, easy to remember.

Thanks again for your input! Tippo27 (talk) 06:53, 15 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
