Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Wikipedia:WikiProject Spam/Local/ultimatespaintravelguide.com, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at Wikipedia:WikiProject Spam/LinkReports/ultimatespaintravelguide.com. LoudLizard (📞 | contribs | ) 15:34, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

LoudLizard Hello, I am trying to correct a mistake here. Please don't block me from making any edits. Thank you! I did just add an edit summary. Thank you and sorry if I made any mistakes here.

Stop icon - You have repeatedly been told to stop - but you have ignored all these warnings - STOP editing Wikipedia:WikiProject Spam/LinkReports/ultimatespaintravelguide.com. - Arjayay (talk) 20:42, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What you are trying to correct is not a mistake. It's an entirely automated tool - a so-called "bot", not something of LoudLizard's or Arjayay's doing - that considered your edits to likely be spam. The reports by that bot are reviewed by human editors. Blanking those reports gives the impression that you are trying to avoid scrutiny. For obvious reasons you should not be the one to review whether your own edits constitute spamming or not.
That said, I happen to agree with the bot's assessment. SEO is one thing; driving traffic to a site by adding links to Wikipedia is another, so being aware of our NOFOLLOW tags doesn't mean you cannot be spamming. That site does not meet Wikipedia's standards of reliability, and we should not link to it. Huon (talk) 22:37, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
