Hi, I saw your draft of an article on this personage, & have questions about your sources. In it, you state that Maximus was a consul in 51 BC: however, I could find no evidence he was either ordinary or suffect consul at any time. (I checked the standard references used to create List of Roman consuls, which titles I can share with you if you are interested.) I found out about Maximus because you added his name to the list of governors at Crete and Cyrenaica; however, checking two standard references that provide names for that province -- Thomas Robert Shannon Broughton, The Magistrates of the Roman Republic, vol. 2 (1952) & Werner Eck, "Über die prätorischen Prokonsulate in der Kaiserzeit. Eine quellenkritische Überlegung", Zephyrus 23/24 (1972/73) -- I could find no mention of Maximus. While all of these are a bit dated, I'm unaware of any more recent work in this area. So what source did you draw on for your article on Maximus? I have to warn you that if you can't provide any sources, the draft will need to be deleted. -- llywrch (talk) 16:43, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kfar Qatra moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Kfar Qatra, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. A tag has been placed on Lucius Duccius Rufinus requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
