August 2021[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Orange Mike | Talk 18:24, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Bukunmi Oluwasina, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Requested username:

Request reason:

I haven't received any payment for previous post made, the post was not made for promotional purposes, the reason why it was declined at first was because it was leading to an external link (wizimatic) which I removed in the second edit before resubmitting, it wasn't intentional to make the post promotional. I am a close person to this notable figure, hence, the purpose of my contribution to this great platform. I totally understand the rules and regulation of this great platform, and the need to block when being violated, and I never intended to do that neither will I repeat such mistakes again. I wish to be a great editor on this platform with my contribution which will bring about more awareness and knowledge to wikipedia users. Thank you

Decline reason:

Your choice of new username would be acceptable. I don't think that you are merely close to the person that you wrote about and/or wrote about them by chance. Please review conflict of interest and paid editing and tell what specific topics you will edit about without violating those policies. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:22, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Also note that you don't have to be specifically paid for edits to be a paid editor, any paid relationship with a subject triggers the disclosure requirements.

Request reason:

I am going to start the article afresh without making the intention of the article look promotional, either to look as promoting the notable figure or promoting other brands. I have read both articles of conflict of interest and paid editing and I sincerely apologize for the mistakes on my end. I totally understand now and it wasn't intended initially. the new article will be a biography as well as RELIABLE references/sources to work done

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 11:10, 24 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
