Wikipedia:Floquenbeam's review

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Wikipedia:FRV)

Floquenbeam's review (FRV) determines whether anything done on Wikipedia is consistent with policy, common sense, standards of behaviour, and the will of Floquenbeam. Any action, edit, fraternal banter, or thing that takes place on Wikipedia is subject to its scope. Its purpose is for Floquenbeam to review everything and make decisions based on executive fiat.

To request Floquenbeam's review, please first read the "purpose" section to make sure that it is in scope. Then, follow the instructions below.

Purpose

Floquenbeam's review may be used to request Floquenbeam's ruling on anything whatsoever

Floquenbeam's review should not be used to question anything Floquenbeam or User:Bishzilla have done.

Instructions
Initiating a review
  1. Before listing a review request, consider attempting to discuss the matter with the performer of the action as this could resolve the matter more quickly. There could have been a mistake, miscommunication, or misunderstanding, and a full review may not be needed. Such discussion also gives the performer the opportunity to clarify the reasoning behind a decision.
  2. Start a new discussion by clicking below and filling out the form.Start a new discussion
  3. Inform the person of this discussion.

You must leave a notice on the editor's talk page.

The use of ping or the notification system is not sufficient for this purpose. SandyGeorgia can live without it; why can't you?

Participating in a discussion

Any editor may express their opinion about an action being reviewed, but only Floquenbeam's view matters. In the Floquenbeam's review discussion, please do not type one of the following opinions preceded by an asterisk (*) and surrounded by three apostrophes (''') on either side unless you are Floquenbeam:

  • Endorse the original action; or
  • Overturn the original action and optionally an (action) to take instead.

If you have additional thoughts to share, you may type this after the opinion. Place four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your entry, which should be placed below the entries of all previous editors.

Remember: Lecturing Floq like he's a child and then appending "I mean this in the nicest way possible" doesn’t work the way you think it does. DO NOT say "With all due respect" as everyone knows this is simply a polite way of saying "get lost".

Closing a review

Discussions are open for as long as Floquenbeam wants, and may only be closed by him. Floquenbeam should make a closing statement that summarizes the consensus reached in the discussion and clearly states the outcome, if he feels like it. Suggested outcomes include endorsed, overturned, no consensus or meh, but can be whatever he wants them to be. When possible, Floq should implement the outcome. If it is not, please contact User:Bishzilla

After a review

Abide by the decision, or appeal to User:Bishzilla, but please note, that might result in you being pocketed with Jimbo Wales.
