Original – Princess Tuvstarr (Princess Cottongrass). John Bauer (illustrator) is known for his illustrations of Bland tomtar och troll, the yearly Swedish fairy tale book, in which his most highly acclaimed works was published in the 1912-1915 editions. The majority of the pictures were full page watercolor illustrations.
Reason
A talented Swedish illustrator's well known work (well, at least in Sweden) from the from the childrens' anthology: Among pixies and trolls, 1913

  • Support – One of Sweden's most iconic pictures. All of the originals for "About gnomes and trolls" are approximately 20–25 cm, mostly squares so it's safe to assume that 25 cm by 25 cm is the correct size.
