    • Delete. I already speedied it at least once, and maybe twice, but since it's listed now, I'll vote. It's only used for vandalism, and the user's other contributions are all vandalism. Antandrus (talk) 01:33, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Uploaded by Jeffrey Henning (notify). Isn't being used for commentary about the game itself, and so does not qualify as fair use.- Rory096 02:53, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I thought this was fine because of the promotional tag's sentence "# in the absence of free images that could serve such a purpose;". I sent the copyright owner this note:
A while ago I uploaded two of your images to Wikipedia, marked them as your copyright but thought they were useful for promotional purposes for you and to illustrate this article:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boardgame_counter

I've since been accused by another Wikipedia user of violating Fair Use of your images. If I overstepped and you'd like me to remove them, please let me know. If you think this is fine and you like having them used in such a way, please edit each of these pages to indicate that:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Chit_anatomy_of_a_counter_dunkerque.jpgchit_anatomy_of_a_counter_dunkerque.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Chit_anatomy_of_a_counter_black_sea_black_death.jpg

If I don't hear from you, I will consider that a vote for removal and will take them down.
Permission has been granted by the publisher for use, as of 5/4/2006:
Hi, Jeffrey. You may use the Black Sea * Black Death counter as your example, but the Dunkerque image is for a sticker that goes on a wooden block, not a cardboard die-cut counter like BS*BD. If you want to use the Dunkerque image, please make sure the difference is noted. Thank you.

    • I'm going to withdraw this nomination for deletion, though I do think this should be discussed elsewhere, as we are supposed to have a legitimate fair use claim for images used with permission. --Rory096 04:10, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

    • Delete. I asked the user to show that it was his/her image a while back, heard nothing. Previous image from this user had no copyright info at all. I think it's clear that this is not really the user's own work. --Allen 04:45, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Uploaded by Spizzma (notify). Copyright violation. Tag says that the copyright holder allows its use, but it looks as though it was just lifted from a website. That website does not include a message allowing any usage.--BaronLarf 20:24, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Uploaded by Dmb000006 (notify). Incompatible license with Wikipedia.- Rory096 21:40, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
FWIW, I don't think the license is incompatible, but if it is a matter of 'delete it or change license' then you should let me know and I will change it. The biolicense is a free and open license - very similar to GPL, copyLeft, etc. If you insist that it is 'incompatible' I would be interested to know why. --Dan|(talk) 10:59, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Consensus at Media Copyright Questions says it's too confusing (what's with the license being a wiki?). If you could change the copyright tag it would be great, though. --Rory096 21:46, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
