The result of the debate was 

Deleted.  Unfree photo of subject for whom we have at least one free photo.  Not used in any discussion of the photo itself, or any larger work of which it is a part. Works of the Philippine government are not freely licensed. WilyD 17:02, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Official portraits are completely replaceable. We don't have any other nonfree portraits of any national leader in any other country in the world. See Nicolas Sarkozy, Angela Merkel, etc. These free photos do just fine. Mangostar (talk) 17:49, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Nope. These are the official portraits. They're not replaceable (in the sense that there are other free official ones available). The paintings of this particular style are commissioned for each president of the Philippines and are displayed at the Malacanang Palace museum. --seav (talk) 07:42, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

REPONSE: the tag was ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. I own the painting and the copyright and took the photo. You had no right to delete it because you are ignorant of the situation. piersbertrand 21:36, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
