Which Mozart song is this?

[edit]

I was at a gymnastics performance, and one of the background musics started out as a classical piano music (apparently by Mozart), but then changed into a pop/rock and classical music hybrid, with drums and spoken vocals over the classical piano music. The vocals told Mozart's life story, when he was born, when he composed his first symphony, and when he died. The chorus went "Amadeus, Amadeus". Does anyone have any idea which song this is? Sounds like Rock Me Amadeus --LarryMac | Talk 21:10, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No, that's definitely not it. After having looked at the lyrics, they were nothing of the sort. The song I heard had lyrics such as "Year xxxx, Mozart composes his first symphony" and "The next year, Mozart dies". (I don't remember the exact years.) "Rock Me Amadeus" is completely different. Your lyrics sound like the English voice overs. Are you sure it's the wrong song? Have you listened to it?--TMCk (talk) 20:02, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The voiceovers match, the rest of the song doesn't. The song I heard was completely instrumental apart from the voiceovers. None of the German lyrics on the lyrics site linked to from Rock Me Amadeus appear on the song I heard. JIP | Talk 20:37, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No idea then but if the music itself is sampled from Mozart you might find it here, tho it's a long list.--TMCk (talk) 21:08, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Country song

[edit]

I once heard a country song that mentioned the Paint Rock River in Alabama (unusual, given its small size and the fact that it's practically unknown outside the state), and the chorus went something like, "I [felt, swallowed, something--can't remember the word here] that clear cool water, take my hand and show me the way". It was an older one and was a man singing. I've searched online for the lyrics and got 0. Anybody know the title? White Arabian Filly Neigh 21:19, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The lyrics for this song, Do You Wanna Go to Heaven seem to be vaguely similar. including a Paint Rock River reference; it's on Youtube here. FlowerpotmaN·(t) 21:29, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I think that's it. Thanks. White Arabian Filly Neigh 21:32, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
