Welcome to WikiProject Addictions and recovery. This is the landing page for all those individuals seeking to collaborate on new projects within addictions and recovery on Wikipedia. This is a newish project, so there is much work to do. If you are both new to Wikipedia and new to recovery, feel free to look around and comment about topics that interest you or you feel should be expanded upon.

Several Wikipedians have formed this collaboration resource and group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Addictions and recovery and the organization of information and articles on this topic. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions and various resources; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the topic. If you would like to help, please join the project, inquire on the talk page and see the to-do list below.

Goals[edit]

  • Create, improve, update and classify existing and new articles related to addictions and recovery.

Scope[edit]

  • To create a project bridge engaging and discussing concepts of medical, psychiatric, and other health-influenced articles as they relate to addiction and recovery.

There are currently three places to look for contributors to this WikiProject. The best place to look is Wikipedia:WikiProject Directory/Description/WikiProject Addictions and recovery, which shows active editors in this area. The second place is Category:WikiProject Addictions and recovery participants, which shows everyone who has tagged their user page. A third list is below.

New articles[edit]

Please list your new Addictions and recovery-related articles here (newer articles at the top, please). Any new articles that have an interesting or unusual fact in them, are at least 1,500 prose characters, don't have any dispute templates on them, and cite their sources, should be suggested for the Did you know? box on the Wikipedia Main Page. Articles must be nominated within seven days of creation (if worked on in Draft space or in a user sandbox, it's seven days from being moved to article space) or of a five-fold expansion. Newly passed Good Articles can also be nominated.
