I propose renaming to {{LawandJustice-politician-stub}} to reflected English-language title of the article name -> Law and Justice. Category should be renamed as well. - Darwinek (talk) 14:38, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

As per {{2000s-play-stub}}, this would be upmerged into Category:21st century play stubs until there are sufficient stubs to warrant a category of their own - danyoung - 21:02, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

I propose to you creating a stub category specifically of Miami-area related topics. The greater Miami area is the third largest metro area in the united states and is extremely significant in the cultural zeitgeist of the nation, as well as it its arts & entertainment. A stub should be created for airport which are closed such as Quartz Hill Airportbecausew there is currently not a very descriptive stub to place them under.

- I would have thought that more people know about airports in a certain vicinity (Country) rather than airports that are open/closed I would rather have only one axis of split for airports and have that by country. Waacstats (talk) 13:53, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

This currently has over 800 members, most of which aren't likely to be expanded in the near future. I propose the creation of stub templates for all 105 counties, upmerged to a few regional categories. Not sure on what regional boundaries I'd like to see, but perhaps we could use this map, with Kansas City merged into the northeastern region? I'll admit that I don't know whether these regions would have 60 stubs each; we could adopt these boundaries and wait for a few more stubs to be created if one or two regions didn't have enough stubs. Nyttend (talk) 02:40, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- Another reasonable split (105 templates! what is going on here)Waacstats (talk) 20:35, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

We now have 2,600 stubs and it would seme the decision to split regionally was a failure. Who supports the idea of creating geo templates for each municipality and create stub categories by Statistical regions of Slovenia splitting where possible? Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:18, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
Škofja Loka is viable (62 stubs)
Category:Škofja Loka geography stubs {{ŠkofjaLoka-geo-stub}}
Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:27, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

History of Transylvania has 12 subcategories with 66 articles. There are a great many Transylvania-related stubs not marked as such (eg. Gelu). Transylvania is a special historical and geographical, albeit currently not administrative region which was first mentioned in 1075 and had throughout its history a special multi-ethnic political, cultural and demographic character. Articles for history are split between Hungary and Romania-related articles, although in most cases a Transylvanian history-stub would be appropriate as an addditional or even alternative marking between the two.Rokarudi 14:44, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Lately a lot of people haver been creating articles connected to Aurangabad city and thus I feel there is a need to create a stub. Aurangabad is one of the known tourist sites that consists of two world heritage sites and so I feel it would be apt to create a stub for articles related to Aurangabad city. Nefirious (talk) 13:39, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- Very few cities have a stub type and unless someone can show me 60 stub articles relating to this city I don't think we need a category or even a template. Waacstats (talk) 13:17, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
Mmm on looking at Category:Aurangabad, Maharashtra it looks as if a lot of them are not stub tagged at all. If the proposer wants to tag them and will work through improving them I support.. The best thing though would be to use district templates/cats. Dr. Blofeld White cat 08:01, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
Yep, I have already worked on many Aurangabad related articles, such as Himroo, Bibi Ka Maqbara, Aurangabad Caves, Panchakki, Daulatabad etc. It would be a pleasure to improve and work on their improvement sir. Nefirious (talk) 15:43, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

I know the genre categories exist but what are the thoughts on creating stub categories for US films? I really don't see why they should be exempt from stub classification. The genre categories cover all world films but I think the time has come when we should be organizing American films into stub categories and rooting out wihich need expanding from each year. I'd be happy to see a {{2001-US-film-stub}} etc as we really have hundreds of stubs from each year. Any thoughts? Dr. Blofeld White cat 14:07, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- I guess that by decade as we normally do would be to big, I can not say that I'm happy with a by year, but would not oppose on those grounds. Would not a split of the existing genre categories say {{2000s-US-drama-film-stub}} or something similar not work. Waacstats (talk) 13:30, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
Yeah I agree, but the reason I said about by year is that, particularly in the 2000s we have enough stubs by year to make year categories/templates viable... If you look at the stub count of all American films A 2000s American film stubs is likely to be overly bloated. Yes your idea would be better. Dr. Blofeld White cat 23:10, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, support the decades by genre for the US films. Lugnuts (talk) 08:44, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

- Oppose. Not needed in any way. We don't have stub types for specific families, and there's no reason why this one should be any different. Category:Hitler family only has 22 members, and only about six of them are stubs - this os only 10% of the number of stubs needed for a separate stub category, and these six are already well covered by other stub types. It is unlikely that there will be any more articles on members of the family either, so this will never get to the necessary threshold for splitting. (BTW, a template of this name was created, but was also speedied since it was so far removed from a working stub template and was unused - if the decision is to have such a stub template then a proper one can be made). Grutness...wha? 01:49, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

It is needed and is essential since a lot of film students access the internet to study about the equipments being used for motion picture productions.
